landline phone service
 + -1 moreYou can't - don't come to Alaska and expect lower 48 service. There's only two landline providers here. You got no choice. Evil one and evil two, I go for evil one. There's not much you can do and you're limited in market. If we had another two or three telephone companies trying to move in, I wouldn't doubt that service and the availability of product would definitely increase.

cell phone service, internet service
 + 0 moreInternet and telephone service began having trouble (on/off internet, terrible static/noise on telephone line) after a contractor failed to cut the wires during a demolition project. After much anger and rash decision making by a junior manager, service guys came posthaste. An hour or less of onsite collaboration by two service provider companies, the problem was found and solved. Tempers simmered back down to normal and life became livable again.
Description of Work: Provider had to do an onsite service of the incoming lines for internet and telephone.
