Ravenwood is a RIP OFF. They never have open appointment times and their vets try to prescribe things that the pet doesn’t need. My dog had a UTI and I proved that with a urine dipstick test. I was told I needed to do another one through their clinic even though I am board certified to run these tests. They charged $40 for a test that costs less than $0.50. Then they refused to give my dog antibiotics and made me accept a $50 probiotic because she wouldn’t pee on command for them. I brought her sample back later that night and she was diagnosed with a UTI and given an antibiotic that OF COURSE I could not buy cheaper somewhere else. Then they refused to let me return the $50 probiotic that was unopened and we never used because she needed antibiotics not a BS homeopathic treatment. Overall my brand new puppy’s UTI cost $250. It would cost the same amount for a human to get treated at a walk-in clinic. The owner is refusing to let us return the unopened probiotic because they claim they “can’t verify the efficacy” as if I somehow spoiled the unopened box. My other dog, they refused to try and treat her yeast infection and instead tried to convince me she needed a $200 steroid instead of just TREATING the infection. RIDICULOUS!!! This clinic is a scam and they try to suck people dry even when they know the owner is undergoing their own serious medical treatment. Do not use Ravenwood, they’ll suck you dry and won’t even help your dog.

Excellent! All providers are exceptional; however, we especially like Dr. Albert. She’s very attentive and appears interested in each cat, spends enough time to figure out problems when they arise. We recently had a challenging health concern with one cat which Dr Albert was able to try less invasive remedies prior to surgery. My husband and I both appreciated a more conservative approach. All cats are doing well and we all LOVE Ravenwood!

Have seen a number of different vets and they all seem both kind and knowledgable. The office staff is excellent - friendly, courteous, helpful both in person and on the phone.

My dog had a luxating patella and a torn cruciate. The vet referred me to an orthopedic specialist. The doctor called me the next day after she had spoken to the radiologist. Then she spoke to the orthopedic surgeon and obtained an estimate. The vet was kind compassionate, professional and spent a lot of time educating me on what and why my dog needed surgery and the options available. My dog will be having surgery so that she can walk again. I love this vet clinic and only have positive things to say.
My dog will be having the surgery sometime in the near future. I liked the surgeon that Dr. Schmidt sent me to and I have already had the consultation.

We didn't want to put our dog to sleep and we weren't sure the timing was right but we knew it wasn't right to let her suffer. We had reached the point that our vet had given us as guidelines which help us gauge her quality of life. We explained everything to vet and she listened with empathy. After describing our dogs problems from bone cancer, the vet explained that it is better to let our dog die with dignity and be free from pain. She told us that if the time was not right she would let us know. We made the decision to put our dog to sleep.
The vet believed dogs should die happy and so we gathered as a family and were given thin mints to feed our much beloved dog. She hadn't been eating much but she LOVED those cookies. As the medicine was administered the vet and her assistant were quietly supportive and then when our dog passed the vet let us know then left the room quietly as we cried. The vet offered to give us, free of charge, a dog print in plaster which is now in a shadow box in our living room. Even though it was close to closing time they let us grieve our pet and gave us all the time we needed.
It was one of the hardest decisions we have ever made but a week later we received a condolence card from the vet. It was so touching and helped us to remember that we were trying to do what was best for our pet.

.A great experience, but with any medical appt, I would recommend asking more questions, and prices to avoid sticker shock. For instance, do they need an ultrasound and an X-ray?
The vet gave me thorough advice before and after my cat's treatment. I have no complaints at all.

We always buy a couple of toys when we are there. They are the best one in Eagle River. They are the best one if you are on the east side of town but I don't know if they are worth crossing town for. They are very professional. Our dog likes to go to the vet, which is unheard of.

I have referred them to others. I will continue to use them. I have three dogs and we have been with this vet for almost twenty years now. We have been to a few vets there over the course of years. We have not run across a bad vet or bad staff at all.

Ravenwood has been our family's vet for many years. They are unfailingly professional, competent, and personally involved in their clients. The new facility is designed specifically for the work they do, and a lot of thought went into it. They are great, even under the recent sad circumstances.

We were able to get our dog, Kiska, in for his pre-check the next day after calling and they performed the surgery very close to the 8 month 'age criteria' as they could get him. They were very good at making friends with Kiska to make him feel at ease. Once the surgery was performed they kept me up on his progress and let me know when he would be ready for pick up. They explained his progress and what to expect for his home care. The next day they called our house to make sure Kiska was doing fine and to follow up with us on any questions or concerns we may have had. I will surely use them again for any more of Kiska's health care needs. The whole staff were friendly and seem to genuinely care about Kiska.
