He is really, really good. The quality of his work is very high. We've found him to be very flexible and receptive to your suggestions. He will do exactly what you want him to do but he has a lot of really good design ideas. He really listens to the woman of the house. He has a creative streak in him and isn't rigid in terms of executing the project. He was able to reuse cabinet doors I already had in addition to building custom cabinets. I explained to him that I'm on a limited budget and he does works with that. His price was acceptable and I didn't find him to charge anymore than Lowe's or someone else.
