 + -1 moreMy initial introduction was with Barry and he was great and very professional and friendly in his measuring and question answering. The front office gal was super and Josh was nice when I had to speak with him on the scheduling. Then Travis and his crew of installers were amazing. The effort used to bring this material to a home is impressive. They were tidy and careful and explained everything to me, they cleaned up after themselves and could not have been nicer or easier to work with. I have a couple more countertops in the bathrooms to replace and I assure you I will go direct to this company and bypass Lowes completely.
Description of Work: Installation of Quartz kitchen countertops for a Lowes job. They are subcontractors to Lowes and they were great.

Description of Work: We called Granite City Alaska for advice concerning repairs that another company failed to perform. They were very helpful with suggestions of what we could do to correct the issues. We would definitely use them for future projects as they were very professional, timely, efficient, & friendly.

 + -1 moreThe first installation (on a tight deadline) left us with incorrect overhang (3and quot; in lieu of standard 1.5and quot;) at the end...incorrect spacing at the oven opening (1/4and quot; between front and back)...a mess I had to clean up and four very large black marks (circular suction cups 8and quot; dia) on the countertop. After discussing with Barry (owner) we took time out of our schedule for completion to assist him in getting the work he had schedule done and completed, he in return promised his best guy, one day turnaround, and something to compensate us for the issues. WE pushed our schedule out a month to January 4th for a 1 day in and out and ended up receiving the SAME crew (not his best guy), the slab we actually paid for, a mess I had to clean up, and no compensation despite his word. I have contacted the parent company (Cozy Carpet owner Matt is 1/2 owner) of whom we got the contract thru 3 times and haven't heard a peep from Granite city. Poor communication and customer service!!!

 + -1 moreThey did a great job and it was wonderful. They showed up when they said they would. First, they came and they pre-measured everything. They built templates for the counter top out of card board type material because this stuff is extremely heavy and thick. It is much thicker than I anticipated. It has to work, this is not something you do and oops it was off and you have to correct it on site, this is not even an option. There was some fitting, nobodies house is perfectly square no matter how you measure it, so they did have to notch the walls slightly in places where the sheet rock was bowed. I don't have anything to compare their price to. I don't think it was their price, I think it was the store's price who subcontracted them. I am not sure who determined the price. I didn't really shop around that much.
Description of Work: GRANITE CITY ALASKA just put in a quartz counter top. I purchased the counter top separately. They were the subcontractor for the store where I bought the quartz materials.
