The window turned out to need replacing (and beyond the scope of his services), but Mr. Perry did his best to find a fix, was very honest and communicative in his appraisal, and expertly returned the disassembled window to its previous state.

It was a bit more complicated than expected because the hookups from previous refrig were older and not the most appropriate. The copper tube went behind the dishwasher and under the floor trim so could not be easily replaced. He completed the hook up to copper tube after several trips to store and then the copper tube had gotten bent and leaked behind the refrig. (This was my fault for pushing the refrig back and not realizing the tube was bent). Luckily he checked behind the refrig to see if there was a leak. He then replaced as much of the copper tube as possible with plastic and all seems to be working well.

John and his helper were finished all the tasks quickly and efficiently. I have more tasks to be done and will call him to do them as well. We are very satisfied with his work.

They arrived an hour late, at least they called at the scheduled time to notify me of their late arrival.

The ceiling repair has an obvious lump in it. The wall repair has a ripple in the corner, and they left the texture uneven and tool imprints. I had to make them install the trim properly and clean up, still, they left trash in my garage.







After 5 hours of baby sitting them, I just wanted them to leave.

No problems...John seems knowledgeable, reasonable and easy to work with.

Went great. I called John at about noon today. He arranged to come over at 2p to assess my needs and give an estimate, and by about 4p everything was fixed--that included the time it took him to run to town for parts. He also showed me how to correctly use toggle bolts.

John showed up right on time, started immediately, , handled the job with full knowlege, spent time making sure the door latched properly, paid attention to details !

John Perry, came out and did some work for me. He was real straight forward about pricing and no surprises. Let you know what was going on, he didn't just hook it up or updated. The duct work when he was up there had been put in when the house was built, the old collapsible style duct work for the air conditioning vents. He updated that to the smooth aluminium wall. He had come uncooked for the outlet there from the attic and that's the reason I called him for. It was picked up in a home inspection. Instead of just hooking it back up he replaced the old vent with new vent pipe so it's up to code. Then he replaced the bathroom fan, the exhaust fan.

John arrived on Monday at 9:00 a.m. and the work was completed by 11:15 a.m. The area was clean, all materials installed appropriately, and during the entire process he worked so quietly and efficiently you hardly knew he was there.

Arrived at appointed time.
Worked efficiently and effectively.
Showed me the old motor/fan unit he removed, heavily encrusted with dirt and grime. Who knew you were supposed to vacuum the unit once in awhile to prolong it's life?
Mr. Perry took pictures of the repairs and E-mailed them to me as this was part of a pre-sale home inspection I had done to prepare the house for sale.
So; saved me money, did the repairs as needed, and I got a free lesson in exhaust fan maintenance. Pretty good deal.

I found John at Action Maintenance Repair through a friend in about 2009 and he's been my handyman ever since. He always gets back to me, we correspond mostly through e-mail. His work is great and his price is right. I trust his work and would recommend him to anyone.
