I've been using Tudor Auto for years. This review is from a friend who interacted with them today: I have to tell you I love Tudor Auto. My car has some major issues with the engine, but Joe called me and told me they ran a full diagnostic on it and because it takes some specialty tools (lots of them, that only the dealer has) he will not start digging into the engine and bill me a huge amount. He would have to add the cost of the tools also….. So I was able to pick up the car and no charge from them. He was very nice and honest. Not the news I wanted to hear about my engine….but he was very honest

I took my vehicle in to check the engine because the light was on because of a suspected fault with my emissions system. They hooked up my car and said yes, they confirmed it was bad and needed to be replaced, but they said that those issues weren't worth fixing because I had more serious engine problems. They cut me a break on the inspection and gained my respect as a business that truly works in the best interest of the owner.

I went by earlier in the week to find out about having my vehicle checked. I was very pleasantly surprised when they actually ran a quick diagnostic on the spot. The system said their appeared to be a minor electrical issue. Since they were all booked up they couldn't run further tests so we setup a time later in the week for them to check it out.
I brought the vehicle by and dropped it off first thing in the morning. (right when they opened) The vehicle was checked later in the day and I received a call that it would need a major tune up as the plugs were not firing correctly.
(Initially my problem was vehicle hesitation around 40 Mph which many other ford owners said was due to very poor engine design by Ford on the Triton V8 engines. Ford also knows about this and instead of recalling this engine which would be huge they sent out a tool to remove the spark plugs in the event they seize in the engine. The cost of the tool was passed on to repair shops which in turn pass that cost on to us making a major tune up very very expensive on all 2003-2010 ford v8 triton engines. Be warned if you own a vehicle with one of these the plugs can seize and get stuck in the engine, or worse crack and break and then your talking serious problems.)
I was told this would all be completed the next day by noon and true to their word I was called the next day to let me know everything was done and good to go. While I understand it was difficult getting to the plugs to change them out, and it takes a good 3+ hours to swap them out I still think that the cost should have been a little less BUT this was not a cost that was a surprise. They were upfront with me about everything. So while I marked down the price I was still very happy with the results and everything else and would use them again for any work I needed done.

Vern is very friendly. Gave me an estimate right away, and stuck to that estimate while taking a bit off.
They found a critical problem when they got into the job. Called me w/ estimate and time it would take. When I asked for details of the job performed, they explained to me in a way I could understand.
The mechanic (Ron, I think) escorted me to the car, and showed me the next couple things that I should have fixed. These were not critical to have fixed now, but I have an estimate on those 2 things for my next trip to the shop.
Even though they were a bit more expensive, I will use them again. They got my car out in 1/2 the time the 'other guys' said THEY would, and I like being treated w/ respect when I ask a detailed question.

I had two simple problems with my daughter's Dodge Caravan:
a rounded off oil drain plug and a broken off lug bolt.
I was quoted a reasonable price of under $100 for the fixes.
I asked them to check the general status of the vehicle because
she is a new driver and I did not want her to have problems
driving with so little experience.
But, you probably already know what came next.
The rear drum brakes had leaking cylinders and brake shoes
that fell off because of rusted out parts. This is a KNOWN issue
with Dodge Caravans that a TSB exists for; see the dealer.
(3 out of 4 wheels braking is still good, right?)
The front brakes were down to 2mm of lining.
The vehicle has about 89,000 miles and this was to be expected.
Joe provided the estimate and called with the revisions. I am an
experienced Do-it-yourselfer and the price was a great deal.
Jasen performed the work.
The work was finished before 3 PM, WITHOUT an appointment,
and it was only accepted at 10 AM. That is FABULOUS service.
I am VERY picky about brakes. They are working perfectly.
Absolutely silk smooth with NO pulsation or vibration or mush.
Perfect for a new driver, especially during her first winter.
A discount was applied, but the entire bill was approximately
$528 with the 10% AAA discount.
I have used Tudor Auto Care before. Joe is running the shop for the
owners whom I know. He treats the customers and business as if
this were his own business and reputation. It truly shows.
