Trailboss Solutions is a general contractor.    This company has a nice website and commercials but unfortunately it stops there.  They bid a $66,000 project which escalated to $100,000 and still wasn't enough to cover our initial requests to them. They are more concerned with collecting money than their work.
Trailboss did NOT pull any permits and did not report any of their work to the Municipality.  7 months into the 3 month project we found out that they did not pull permits.  We asked that they do so and make it right.  They did not.  We are now having to have our house inspected after the fact and retro obtain the permits with the Muni.
Our home is an older home a large portion of this house was remodeled, walls were even gutted.  They re-did a lot of electrical and replaced plumbing in a new bathroom, Laundry room and any pipe that was exposed for upgrades, redid a new fireplace twice, order a door package and replaced 3 times for wrong orders.  They performed the plumbing and a lot of electrical work themselves (which they are not licensed for (we did not know that at the time) with young workers that seem to be replaced often and than hired subs to re-do their work.  Our furnace caught on fire, our basement was flooded, canned light's were burning, the project was a mess with dust on our personal belongings at all times.  Our flooring was pulled for months but only after our new carpet went in they decided to paint all the new trim.
They went through worker after worker and re did their work multiple times on almost all projects.  If the delayed and poor work wasn't enough, we also lost many of our personal possessions.  Trailboss threw out 7 Contractors bags of our personal belongings.  We unloaded each room as it was remodeled as we lived here to make room for the construction.  We put our items in large contractors bags and would store them in our garage until that room was done.  We let Trailboss know what they were.  They went into our garage and tossed threw away our belongings.  Thousands of dollars worth of important gear, sporting equipment,  items such as National Team equipment, items that you can not replace and other personal belongings.  It was disheartening and time consuming.  We are still replacing our belongings.
The leadership and owner of this company is not helpful, arrogant and blames anyone he can on the mess ups versus taking responsibility for Trailboss.  Meeting after meeting and nothing got better.  As a business owner, the responsibility always fall to me no matter what.  This was not the case with Trailboss.  After 13 months of frustration, we finally asked them not to come back to finish the project.

Promised a certain start date 11/18 and was late for that.  Should have known then.  Didn't tell me in October when he took $6000.00 of my money they couldn't start til mid November.  Then swore they could complete 3 bathrooms in 3 weeks. In a five story home.   I knew better.  Only sent one guy to do all the work.  Did you hear that 5 stories!!  tiling in the garage carrying it up 5 flights alone? Todd said he didn't really consider that when he bid on the job.  He's a contractor who sent 1 guy to do the work how do you not know?  The guy who did all the work did good work but let strangers into my house while I was  gone.  Caught him 2 times who knows how many times it happened?  I hired Redi Electric to do the kitchen lighting because they obviously couldn't handle what I gave them.  Didn't let them complete alot of the work because somehow even with taking away alot of work the price skyrocketed...all I added was radiant floor heating.  We even did alot of demolition and they wouldn't give us anything off the price.  Even took their trash to the dump  no price drop.  The rest of the work I needed done I decided to have someone else do.  They told me $12,000 ended up being $16,000 ...and they did less work ...and made a mess of my carpet.  Said they would send a pro to clean it but I know I'll never hear from them again.  At the beginning when discussing what work I wanted done I told them Arctic glass was coming to remove the mirrored walls...this was before he told me they would start in mid november.  Arctic Glass said $135 to remove mirrors from the wall.  Todd said he'd do it for $80.00.  What he didn't say was $80 a mirror ... there were 3 large ones and one small..very small mirror  He charged me $480.00  and felt no shame in what he was doing.  That's just one example of how they inflated prices.  I could go on and on. Oh wait I added medallions under two overhead lights  he wanted to charge me $60.00 each but when I laughed he did me a "favor" and did it for "free"  How did I end up $4000 over the estimate?  Real nice way to do business

I was lied to and taken advantage of.  Stay away from these guys.  There was always an excuse for why someone didn't show up and lots of broken promises. How many car accidents can happen in 7 weeks?  Todd showed up really quick to get his money I will say that for him.  He worked here maybe a total of 12 hours his partner did all the rest of the work.

While TrailBoss has some good workers, it also has some very inexperienced, sloppy workers.  Siding was damaged, interior paint damaged, no insulation was put around window frames, exterior framing was askew, doors were marred and badly painted, a new storm door failed, and they never finished the project.  After we gave them $60K for the work and kept calling for three years, we finished the work ourselves.  I hope their good workers (e.g. Eric) can find a better employer.  We will never do business with TrailBoss again.

I contacted them in August to do a bathroom remodel. They were the highest bid of 3; I chose them because the person who represented them seemed the most knowledgeable and professional. I was hoping to get it completed before winter set in, as my steps get slippery, but it took them awhile to get to get it on the schedule. Their 'guestimate' was 3mos, start to finish. But they had trouble acquiring a step-in tub because the ones here are from proprietary businesses who insist on doing their own installs. They finally found a company who would ship to Alaska. (apparently this is a problem they didn't know about.) Meanwhile the bath wall was torn out and the plumbing in the wall and floor was uncovered. Inside the floor, the plumbing was unsatisfactory and they told me it would cost an extra $1000 over their bid to get it up to code. Finally the tub arrived and it was not as specified (no quick drain feature and a different faucet setup) But since the shipping was over $400, and I would have had to pay return and reshipping, plus it was now mid winter, I decided to let it go. I had been shopping for a toilet and sink, but each time I found what I liked, I was told it wasn't within my budget. I ended up buying and paying extra for things which weren't included in the bid. (This was the first time I'd ever had anything remodeled; how was I to know a bathroom in their scope of things didn't include such "extras" as flooring material, lighting and a medicine chest?) Then they found the tub didn't have the certification label required by the muni; it took awhile to get the manufacturer to send the info required. About this time, the project manager assigned to the job quit suddenly and the required info 'disappeared' off his computer. So the new project manager had to start again with the manufacturer. Along with getting the overly finicky muni inspector to approve the tub certification (each time she came out and there was something new needed, the job was charged another inspection fee!) and find hard to locate parts, months went by. The project details continued while this was going on. They did a great job with the wiring, drywall, trim and paint. They had a dedicated, careful crew. (Thanks Zach, Justin, Tyler, Harley) Finally, I thought, the job was finished except for the final inspection. I received their bill and went in to the office and paid in full for the job. Everything required had been done, except for the few pickup items left. -only a formality, right?  Well apparently the little details, sink drain adjustment, pocket door refusing to leave its pocket, etc. slipped their mind. I called weekly, giving gentle and then not-so-gentle reminders. I think I was annoying enough that the items were finally fixed. It took over a year for the "3mos, start to finish" job to be finished.

Their designer bragged about how she was in Home magazine and how well she was rated.  She tried to talk us into things that we didn't want.  Job went well over schedule and price estimates.  Workers we had were great but upper management....lacking in personal skills and respect.

My insurance company recommended and worked directly with them. It's beautiful and they worked fast. I didn't have to pay anything but the deductible, but they were very reasonable on their price. When I had any kind of problems, like when the insurance company gave us a ridiculous quote that covered only the carpet removal, he called them, explained the damage to the adjuster and took care of it. I didn't have to worry about anything because they took care of me. Even if I didn't have insurance and I had something else go wrong, I would call them in a minute because I trust them. He let us pick out the flooring and everything else we wanted. You can always get somebody on the phone and anyone can help you because they're all really good.
