The Pet Stop

After seven years of taking my dog to Michael for grooming, he basically told me not to bring my 10-lb. miniature schnauzer there anymore because she had become snippy while being groomed. She is 15 years old and becomes stressed during the process. He was afraid of being bitten, I get that, but her teeth are too broken and she is too weak to break the skin, anyway. She's a little old lady dog - not a pit bull or other powerful breed - and I feel like he just gave up on her. She nips at me when I brush her teeth, but she has never broken the skin. What a wimp he is, and I always tipped him 20 percent.

It took a 6-8 weeks to get blood pressure under control. As for the broken leg and subsequent surgery, the surgeon who amputated the leg was not directly from The Pet Stop. BUT The Pet Stop was responsible for post surgery care as the surgery was performed there and my cat had been a patient there for over 10 years and was currently being treated for other health issues. Follow up care after what was major surgery consisted on a single page of vague written instructions which I was given after the surgery and one phone call from a tech several days after the surgery. None of the instructions I was provided seemed to reflect any consideration of the pre-existing health problems my cat was dealing with. This was proved to be a disaster and a significant cause of my cat's death several days later. I contacted the vets I interacted with expressing my concerns about how they approached follow up care and neither responded.

A little late getting me into appointment, about 5 minutes. Dr was courteous and sure of diagnosis. Check out process was slow. The receptionist got caught up in a phone call and left me standing about 10 min after the prescription was ready. Using the last come, first serve theory of customer service. (Customer on phone was looking for revolution, receptionist spent her time calling around and going the extra mile to find it) In the meantime, I waited to pay the bill and return to my own job, equally important to me, and of which I took off time to make the visit that day. Needs to put needs of non emergency callers on hold while waiting clients are assisted.

We changed vets because Dr. Todd Palmatier is a skilled animal acupuncturist. Our previous vet was the only person in his office. The Pet Stop has multiple vets and it is rare that they can't fit you in. Over the years we have seen every vet there and they are all great. We have had garden variety medical issues and more complicated procedures including surgeries and acupuncture. The entire staff is skilled and compassionate, even when owners are falling apart.

I have taken my dogs to The Pet Stop everytime something seems to be wrong and Dr. Wilson is the best at figuring it out and making care affordable. My dogs have had major surgeries and many small issues and always get the best care from the vets, techs and staff at The Pet Stop. The receptionists are friendly and helpful with finding a last minute opening or calling in a prescription i can't make it in to get. The techs follow up to make sure my dogs are doing well after surgery. I wish I never had to go to the vet again, but I wouldn't go anywhere else.

The people at the Pet Stop approach their work exactly how you could hope. They approach your pet's health keen to a professional approach, while also showing a love for the pets themselves. My pup was passed from worker to worker each one of them wanting to pet him, and hug him, and give him cookies ... and every so often they would slip in a weigh in, a check for good health, and a bit of grooming. They did a great job, and my pup may even get to look forward to visiting the vet.

This was a wonderful visit. I was worried since my dog is usually afraid of vets, but she got along really well. I went in on a Friday afternoon and there were a couple of people there, but I was able to immediately check in. I told the receptionist that I was worried about my dog and taking her to a new vet, and she came around the counter, pet my dog, and gave her a treat. This made both of us feel good about coming here! Dr. Kavanaugh was very caring with my dog and quickly took care of us.

They are very reasonable. I take two dogs at a time and they don't charge me for two dogs. They only charge me for one office visit and then I get charged for whatever shots I get per dog. Our vet, Dr. Palmatier does holistic care, and he does acupuncture for animals. He is from Alaska so he knows what is going on here and he was mentored by someone that used to be a leading eco-expert in the country. Dr. Palmatier is just always sweet to my dogs. Most of my dogs love to run into the vet's office; I only have one weenie. So something must be right that the dogs love to go to the vet.

I am really happy with them and they contacted me to make sure my dog was doing well after his emergency visit.

Dr. Riley Wilson works at The Pet Stop. He has a great touch and our dog just adorably loves him. I would absolutely take any pet to him. I think that he does a great job. I would recommend him to others. He is reasonable. He certainly put our dog at ease when he was in a nervous situation and he presented us with 4 more options for a surgical procedure that made him have them. It was an honest and unbiased opinion on it. I would continue to use him in the future. I have been there for years. I would not rate his punctuality very highly, and that is only because he takes the extra time that he needs with my pet.

The veterinarians that they keep on staff are knowledgeable, professional, compassionate and they are understanding of different situations.

The Pet Stop is good quality for the price.

My dog stayed there. The price included blood work. They took good care of my dog.
