Paid half up-front so materials could be purchased.  Materials came in  sooner than originally expected and Rebath was able to work around our schedule to start the job a month early.  Their workers were punctual, courteous and had no problem working in the cramped space of a down-stairs 1952 designed bathroom, the only full bath in the house.  The price was firm, despite the fact that the existing cast-iron tub had to be broken apart to be removed and the existing drain assembly was firmly cemented into the concrete floor.  Before any work progressed, tarps were put down to assure nothing would be tracked onto carpets and flooring in other parts of the house.  Rebath and their sub-contractor arranged for necessary inspections which didn't require participation of home-owner.   The job was not derailed by the fact that the shipping company had damaged the acrylic bathtub beyond repair.  Rebath discovered the problem on site prior to installation, and had a new tub delivered from their showroom within an hour.   I was impressed that Rebath was able to complete the job, despite the obstacles noted, within the time originally estimated.  It's Rebath's policy that you pay half upfront, one-quarter when the project is started and the remaining one-quarter upon completion of the job.  This policy was disclosed in advance and I had no problem with paying for a flawless installation backed by a solid warranty.

I wish I had read these reviews before I hired them. But after reading I am prompted to tell my story.

It went good & bad. Project started few weeks later than scheduled, but was done in 2 days. The final craftmanship work is good with few complaints. The shower door kept opening up while showering but some how stopped after about 2 months.  The vanity granite looks like it is "pitted" because they didn't seal good enough which makes it looks old or used.   ( I thought the worker stood on it with dirty shoes).  I had them come back to see but said that's the way it is.  I noticed the shower door was the wrong one & they brought over another, but it is still the wrong one. (glass pattern).   Didn't get free handle as promised for coming into showroom. Showroom & house visit choices are super limited !!!  You can't even get white base board (cove) !!  I had to paint mine! Shower is very slippery. Corner bottle holder is worthless.  Hardly holds anything & one shelf is for soap. When they came back after job & I asked to have a soapdish put in, it was no we don't have any & can't get one (????) & will see if we can find one in storage & never got back to me.  Put lights in over mirror down instead of up, which he should of asked me first because the mirror was to low with it faced down, so he changed it faced up & moved mirror up higher. Threw away all my light & faucet owner booklets, threw away my cabinet knobs I forgot to take off  & transfer to new vanity.   Then they put the wrong vanity tops in the wrong bath (again should of asked me first).  I noticed it on day 2 when the second one was going to be installed, what happened was the wrong top was put on the wrong vanity.  but since it matched either bathroom they would not remove other one, didn't want to break backsplash, so I agreed.  They use non-paintable caulking which only caused me a total problem when trying to paint around shower wall where the paint wouldn't stick.  Had to scrub the wall edge.

When I put my order in & signed paper work they called weeks later to say my shower wall was no longer in stock & to come down to make another choice, (did this twice) which ended up changing my whole choice because of their limited selections to pick from !!! Then they wanted me to pay a restocking fee which I refused !!

Bad communication between employess in office.  I gave them a credit card, then closed it,  changed to another & they kept changing the closed one.  Had to give it to them 3 times.  Free handle for coming in was not relayed & added to order.

Finally clean up was not the greatest. They need a better stairway cover to go upstairs in house.  The large folded canvas tarp is very bulky & tripping hazard.  Inside house clean up was fine. They used the garage & top of driveway for cutting etc. & left lots of nails on driveway & metal chips all over garage floor & edges.  Cut about a 1' x 1' square in ceiling over water heater & left the hole & plaster dust all over my water heater & furnace.  I think they took 1 or 2 of my hammers, but by accident I'm sure.   The 2 guys were very courteous & respectful & very good workers & knew their trade. I just suggest they verify things before doing, like light fixture & which mirror door opening swing direction is preferred, verify correct vanity tops since there were 2 baths.

I guess I can sum it up as to where I'm not really unhappy, but I don't get that feel that excitment like I should when I walk into it after the money spent which now I realize was over priced.

As for the big guys, I don't get that  ' you are the customer satisfaction feeling '.

Next time I will check Angies list first.  If I had, I would of never even gotten an estimate.

They failed to remove the shower head flow restrictor, and returned to do that. The toilet leaked around the base, and they returned twice to replace the damaged wax ring and tighten loose toilet fittings. The second repair was effective. The shower door leaked, and continued leaking despite numerous return visits over the next 26 months. Finally they declared that the type of shower door they had installed frequently leaked and that there was nothing further they could do to stop the problem. They admitted that they had failed to inform me of this problem at the time of sale but that they were now informing new customers of this defect. They initially offered to replace the defective door if I purchased a replacement from them and offered to do the installation at no additional cost. They later recommended that I seek a replacement door from a third party and did not offer to reimburse me for this added expense to replace the defective door.

It did not go well. They came out and he did not say hi to me but went straight to the bathroom to look at the tub. He said I need new tile and I said I was not wanting to do that. He then said he could replace the bathtub and tile for 1500.00. Again I said I did not want to do that either. I just wanted it re-glazed. He said okay it would be 750.00 to have it re-glazed. I still thought that sounded high and told him I was going to pass. Later on I talked to Home Depot to see who they recommended. They said they use this company as well. I told them I had a bad experience with them but they said I might call them back out to see if their service is a little better. I did so but they then tried to get me to give them my credit card two weeks prior to starting the job. I declined and moved on to find someone else.

I give much credit too the Rebath contractor, Greg Hardy, who worked with me. At the time the tub ( Rebath "deep") was supposed to be installed, I rejected it because it was very small, and I thought it may even devalue the work being done to improve the bathroom. Greg and his crew waited while my husband and I drove to Lowes and came back with a different tub (Rebath had no standard right drain tub in stock at that time). He was able to fit the tub with the Rebath surround and glass doors (boy, did I feel lucky). I love the surround and tub and it is just what I wanted! Excellent work was done in fitting the surround around the window. I love the brown 12" tile floor. I chose to pick out my own vanity top because I wanted to keep the bathroom bright and their was no white marble tops offered through Rebath. I found one through Lowes on sale. It matches the surround perfectly. Tanya and Chris at the Rebath office refined the cost of the vanity and top and what I paid for the tub and toilet. The things that were not done was putting up the towel racks, but I figure with the extra work that went in to fitting my new tub, I can wait until my husband gets around to it. Speaking of which, I was amazed that my bathroom transformation was completed in three days!

The sinks leaked, they broke a toliet, it leaked upstairs into my kitchen ceiling,The flooring was not lined up like it suppose to be. Had to keep calling them out.  They had few workers, and one kept taking off to go do personal things.  We saw the owner 2 times. Once in beginging and one other time. He was asked to come out and see what was happening, he said he would never showed up. People were very rude.

Absolutely, beautiful. We're getting ready to put our home up for sale and needed work in one our bathrooms. We are pleased with the fast and professional service.

We had re-bath remove our old tub and any potential all molded drywall. They did exactly what we asked...new tub and surround only, there was no up-sale or push from the contact to try to do more and/or spend more money. 1.5 days later....we ware very happy with the results! Clean, fast, professional and beautiful! We would use them again. Thanks for the good, positive experience.

Quick visit from firm to examine and make estimate. Well done, very knowledgable, and brought along all materials to demonstrate possibilities. Provided estimate outside my budget so we worked around changes to bring it into my satisfaction. Installation date was established at a soon-date. I had to postpone just two days in advance and they easily accommodated. A week later, with new installation date, they arrived promptly and began work without any problems. I expected a +one day installation but it was completed the first day. I am delighted with finished product, looks terrific. With "Lifetime" warranty, which is transferrable to new home owner whenever that should occur, I am very satisfied and recommend Re-Bath. As always, shop around, ask neighbors/friends for referrals. I did and chose someone not based just on "price" but who also had no BB/AngiesList problems.

The workers and work performed were excellent. However, the owner Randy is very abrasive and rude, going so far as to say my ideas were terrible. He argued with me at every turn and definitely does not believe that the customer is always right. I have nothing but good things to say about his workers, materials and workmanship. He did respond to a punch list I called about after the work was finished and fixed some minor touch up items. If I refer anyone to this company, I will certainly tell them what to expect from Randy.

I hired Re-Bath without getting a second quote.  That's where I went wrong, and I admit it.  By the time I realized how overpriced they were, the three days had already passed within which I could cancel it.  Re-Bath is a franchise business.  I figure that's why the price was so high.  I am a grown up and accepted my mistake.  I figured I would live with it and have a wonderful new bathroom when all was said and done.  Unfortunately, while I like the work they DID do, I did not like the employees or how the company was run.The work started on a Thursday.  Throughout the job, there was one worker that did most of the work, and I would say his quality of work was good.  Unfortunately, he was not a fast worker.  The boss of the company showed up on Friday to chastise the employees, for there were three or four workers on Friday (why, I have no idea?), because they were working too slowly.  That didn't do anything to get them to move faster, and we ended up having to wait until Monday for the bathroom to be completed.  What started out supposedly going to be two days without a bathroom, turned into five days without a bathroom, five days of 5 adults in my house using one bathroom, five days of the workers' trailer sitting in my two car driveway, parked at an angle, leaving us nowhere to park for that entire weekend.  On top of that, they made a mess of my driveway and barely cleaned it up before they left. And to top it all off, one of the workers tried to scam us; in fact, you can say that they DID scam my husband, but when I found out what had happened, I let Re-Bath know.  The main worker told my husband it would cost us $650 to move the pipes under the sink so the new vanity would fit.  The pipes had to be moved approximately 3-4 inches so that the new vanity would fit.  He said his boss would charge us $650, but he would do it under the table for $300.  My husband, feeling as if we were in a tight spot, went ahead and wrote the guy a check.  As I said, when I found out, I spoke to several plumbers and handyman and asked them how much work was involved in moving the pipes under the vanity and approximately how much would they charge.  None of them quoted any price near $650.  So I got a copy of the check that the employee had cashed and when I went in to make the final payment, I subtracted that $300 from what I owed them, gave them a copy of the check made payable to their employee, and told them to get the $300 back from him.  The woman at Re-Bath to whom I spoke was truly embarrassed about the whole thing and explained that change orders do not happen as this employee explained.  There is supposed to be communication between the worker and the office, and then between the office and the customer, and a reasonable price is determined and agreed to before anything else happens.  In this case, I believe the employee looked at my husband and thought he could take advantage of him.  My husband has Parkinson's Disease, and he looks older than he is and he walks and talks slowly.  Did the guy think he could get one over on this old man?  My husband and I discussed it later and we wondered how many other older people he had scammed.  I also told the woman at Re-Bath that when I was told what to buy (we saved money on the quote by buying the majority of what was needed for the job ourselves) I was not told to buy a vanity exactly like the one we currently have, otherwise we'll have to charge you $650.  If I knew that, I would have definitely purchased one where the pipes would fit perfectly.  But that was not the case.  I believe we were scammed. The other thing about this place, at least here in Anchorage, they want their money and they want it now!  I had to put a third down for the contract and give the next third down to the worker when he arrived.  I was supposed to pay the worker the last third of it when he was completed, but I told him, no, I would personally pay it at the office so that I could talk to the owner.  I scheduled an appointment to talk to the owner on Thursday of that week, but unfortunately I became ill with food poisoning.  I called that morning and left a message for them that I would have to come in the following day.  Unfortunately, the following day I was still ill.  I decided to go into work a little late and swing by and make the payment at Re-Bath before I did.  That morning, Re-Bath sent a worker over to my house to collect the check.  I told the guy that no, I wouldn't give him a check, that I was going into the office that morning to pay.  What's up with the "neediness" for the money?  They had $4300 of mine, $4600 if you add the $300 we had given the worker "under the table," what's up with that?  Are they operating on a job-to-job basis and are cash short?  It just felt like overkill on their part.  They got their money and a piece of my mind - in a very polite, firm way.  I would not be scammed. So I would NOT recommend them unless you've got lots of money to spend and you don't care how much it costs or how long it takes.  :/
