In July, 2019, we chose Rainproof Roofing to replace our house’s aging single-ridge roof with Malarkey Legacy Shingles. They sent an experienced efficient two-man team with an elevator bed truck. In ONE day we had a beautiful new “Black Oak” roof that was the envy of our neighborhood. We had neighbors comment on it! Rainproof came in with a great bid and beat out the competition that had also bid for the job. And to our surprise, the heavier quality Legacy shingles dampened outside noise too. Couldn’t be happier, thank you all.

In my assessment customer service was lacking. It took three months from my deposit to having the roof done. During that time no one from the company initiated any contact. I was given an initial date by which the roof would be done and it wasn't. I was given a second date and again the work was not done. No one contacted me either time with updated information. I initiated all calls. I would work with Adam and Nate again both of whom provided clear information the day the roof was installed. Nate was particularly helpful. As for the quality of the job, only the first good windstorm will test if the job was done well. After the job was completed I sent a letter to the company detailing the things I found problematic. That did illicit a phone call and an apology.

I used the Wasilla branch of Rainproof. They were fast and efficient and $5000 less than the other contractor.

I had a couple of metal roof panels replaced due to my hot water heater and furnace being replace that do not vent through the roof anymore. They did an excellent job and came in under estimate.

The vast majority of the work went very well. The crews came out in awful weather to fix a leak in the old roof before they even started the reroof job. The put a temporary roof on the addition during the September monsoon. Once the new roof was on, no leaks, no problems, and it looks good, too! I had one bit of specialty roof, and it took a little too long to get the materials out here, and then to get the job completed. Once it was done, it too, was fine.

I hope I don't need them again soon - after all, the roof should last 30 years - but I would call them with any new projects.

In replacing our roof, we went the belt and suspenders route. We wanted to make it as windproof and waterproof as possible. Rain Proof Roofing, while certainly not the cheapest contractor, proved to be professional in every aspect of service, from start to finish. The work was done in the promised time frame (during a very rainy summer) and in a professional manner.
I highly recommend Rain Proof Roofing.

"We appreciate your business as well as your honesty, we are often not the cheapest roofing contractor and we are honest about that. It is important to us that we provide the best materials, quality, safety and crew. We have built a solid reputation with the communities inside our great state by providing those qualities above! Thank you again for taking the time to review us. Misty Rain Proof Roofing"

The team worked well, and were pleasant and good to work with. They were diligent about cleaning up when they were finished. We chose to keep the old cedar shingles to burn in the wood stove, and they were helpful with this as well.
The roof leaked shortly after the job was done. They came immediatly and corrected it--or so we thought. When the heavy snowfall of 2011-2012 melted we had leakage in 4 places. The company blamed the extra heavy snowfall, (but it had never leaked with the old shingles in all the years we had owned the house).
They told us that if we allowed anyone else on the roof to clear the snow it would negate our warranty, but that they didn't have time to do it. Finally they agreed to do it, and if they were responsible we wouldn't have to pay for it.
All through the process they insisted that if they were responsible for the leakage they would make it right. Communication problems persisted, but eventually Jason came out to assess the damage. He agreed not to charge us for the removal of snow from the roof and to install a roof vent across the entire ridge of the roof.
During the summer of 2012 they came out and installed a roof vent across the top of the roof. No statement of what was done was left nor sent to us. We still don't have one, even though we called and asked for it.
Heavy rains, Sept.20, 2012 precipitated another leak on the right side of the living room inside, and under the overhang, outside. We are still battling about this.
I regret that I didn't ask another company to roof the house.

Rain Proof Roofing was recommended by my home's builder. I was extremely pleased with the entire process from call to work completion. Our ridge vent blew off in a January windstorm while we were in Florida on vacation. Once we realized we had a hole in the roof and called Rain Proof, the crew came out and replaced the missing piece within a day or so and left a very reasonable bill at my door. I highly recommend this company for its professionalism, knowledge, and customer service.

I don't know how much it cost. We had them come out with another company that did the insulation. Rain Proof actually didn't charge us anything because they had done the roof a couple of years before that. When we have had problems, they have always come out and corrected them and most of the times they haven't charged us.

I tried to get repairs done in the summer but they finally got to me in the winter. Things were worse that expected and repair will have to wait until spring. The delay should not have happened
Response from Rain Proof Roofing*
"The work was ordered mid August and we showed up on-site mid-September, unfortunately when we got into the leaking area there was a large amount of unforeseen rot the deeper we dug the more rot was found. It was deemed a contractor would be needed to assess the rotten wood before we could continue, we provided temporary roofing to get through the winter. I'm sorry that you had an unpleasant experience with our company, as always I would encourage you to voice your concerns to us so that we have an opportunity to rectify the situation. If there is anything we can do for you in the future we would be glad to help."
