Description of Work: Mountain Tops LTD provided me a window service and I had an estimate from them. He replaced our window sills with Korean.

Description of Work: Templated and installed new quartz counter tops and bar as part of a kitchen remodel. Cost of the install and quartz were part of a larger kitchen budget so not sure what the exact cost was.

Description of Work: Non responsiveness to calls to request services

Description of Work: We are in the middle of an extensive kitchen remodel in which we are acting as the general contractor, and Mountain Tops was recommended for countertops. DO NOT USE THEM. They promised for over 2 months they would get back to us and then they dropped the project with no explanation, left us holding the bag while we had relied on them because they had been recommended by good people,-- we have our carpenter, and other subs lined up, ready to go. We have tried to talk to the owner but he will not return our calls. One of our big financial and design decisions in the kitchen was whether to refurbish the existing Corian countertops (corian can be refinished by experienced craftsmen) or to install new countertops. Mountain Tops was recommended as the best outfit in town to give us an estimate and do the work, if we decided to refinish. Their employee Kelly came to our house mid-January and promised 2 specific and alternative bids for 1) refurbishing, shining up our existing Corian countertops as-is, and 2) replacing sink which would require adding some new corian material in the field to support sink, and adding new piece of corian on one of countertops. He promised a bid shortly. I called a week later, no response. I kept calling every week or so, no call back. I knew Kelly had been a good cabinet maker back in the 90s, and I mistakenly assumed he would stay true to his word re getting the information to me I needed, I had a custom cabinet maker lined up for our remodel, who has already made doors and is waiting for installation. In the end, I tried to get a hold of Mountain Tops asking when bid would be ready for over 2 months and just got a run around from girl who answered phone. Finally, my husband demanded to talk to Kelly, who then finally answered a call and who said he was just too busy. If they didn't want the job why didn't they say so back in January? I needed the bids to compare against cost and headache of all-new countertops and these guys have rep for good work. I was even told at one point by the receptionist that she had seen the bid paperwork but she just had to find it and would get it to me. Finally, more than 2 months after his initial visit to our house, Kelly (when tracked down) said he was just too busy to do our project. We have a large kitchen with a lot of countertop, so this is not like it would be a zero profit project for them. He said it was his bosses decision, not his. We have eft multiple calls for the boss, but he won't return them. RUN AWAY--do not rely on these guys.
