The old deck wrapped around an old tree. Mike Ferguson and I discussed the new deck options. He suggested a shorter, longer deck to avoid the tree. They drove the pilings for the new deck in the wrong place and built the deck anyway. I now have a deck with a railing breached by the tree. MCF Construction should be avoided by everybody!

The contractor was rarely on time to work. There were days between when he would show up to work.
At times I would have to call the contractor to see if they were going to finish the job.It has been almost 18
months and I still do not have my certificate of occupancy. I was told that there was a problem with my driveway being
too wide. I went and talked to the planning department and straightened that out. They said that all was needed for my CO
was to get my final inspections for the electrical and mechanical. The city sent inspectors out and the inspections were passed.
The remaining item of a $600.00 for inspections was due. I told the city that I would not pay for it because I would never get
my money back from the contractor. I had already paid the contractor for the final bill.

At a home inspection rot was found in the roof joists. It was late in the season, so money was escrowed for the work to be done in the spring when the weather would allow. The metal roof was removed from the top, the rotted joists replaced and repaired. Much of the insulation was replaced at this time. The roof was reassembled and the metal roof was put back on after the roof was properly vented.
