I like their services, they did everything really well, and explained to me what was going on. What they were going to do, how long it was going to take and they got done a little bit early, and I knew how much I was going to pay ahead of time, everything went just great. They're all great people.

Technician claimed a U-joint was bad and deemed my Tacoma unsafe to drive. I questioned the diagnosis but the tech insisted I needed a whole new control arm. Kendall rented me a Tacoma while we they waited for parts to arrive. Cost estimate was $1800 for two new control arm assemblies (dealership will only replace the whole thing, not individual parts). Drove rental for a week, parts never arrived at Kendall. Took the truck to Arctic Import. They found nothing wrong whatsoever (for $50). Went back to Kendall, told them to cancel the repair. They refunded the cost of the rental, but I lost any trust I had there. I get oil changes at Jiffy Lube now.

They were poor at communicating and dishonest about what had been done with my car. They were quick to say sorry, but still could not explain what was done for two weeks while they had the car. I do not trust them.

Initial greeting and information provided was great. Salesman was new, but responsive and friendly. We decided on a model, but wanted a color not on site. We left, and got a call the same day to tell us the found one in Washington, and if we would split the shipping we could get it in about a week. Went back with the intent to make a deal- and was told they had located the vehicle, but weren't sure they could get it. After three days of being told they were working on it, they said they couldn't get one, but "would make me a deal on one on the lot". Within 24 hours we had found one in Washington ourselves, made a deal, and arranged shipping - not through Kendall. Nice folks, but they weren't proactive with our communication and weren't motivated to help us with anything not on the lot.

The service was fast and they work 7 days a week. They keep me up to date with what's going on with the repair. They repair an estimate and if they find the repair will cost more than the estimate, they will call and inform me.

As always Kendall Toyota provides top-notch service. Assuming you have made an appointment, you drive into the shop area and are greeted by pleasant and friendly staff before you step out of the car. They are ready immediately to get to work and direct you to a pleasant waiting if you want to wait, or make arrangements if you are leaving the vehicle. The place is so clean and modern looking. Everything is very professional and efficient. A complete inspection report is gone over with you when you are finished by a knowledgeable mechanic. Can't say enough about the service!

I try to work with the same service manager each time as he knows the history of both vehicles fairly well without checking the computer service history log. Prices are high, but I generally can get a discount on service if I ask. Kendall does offer the occasional coupon on various services. Be sure to ask to see the old parts and talk with the actual mechanic that did the work.

This has been the WORSE Toyota Service Dealership that I have frequented. Service is appalling. Since they are the only game in town for Toyota owners, they do not try and caster to you like they do in the lower 48. I had my vehicle serviced for an oil change and a new battery installation. I have tried using the online system to book but it always fails so I called. I have been transferred around plenty of times and when I do reach the agent, I am treated rudely.
A couple of weeks later, the care battery would not start. I called the dept explaining the situation and they transferred me to a specialist whose voicemail kicked in. I called again explaining the situation and again I was transferred. This time, I reached a and quot;specialistand quot; who assured me, and quot;No problem, we would be able to get you in today. Let me transfer you to a scheduler.and quot; I was then transferred twice then hung up. No one wanted to assume the responsibility. I called again and now I was rudely by Michelle told there was nothing available today.
Overall, I am clearly dissatisfied with the professionalism of this dept. I have been to numerous Toyota dealerships (FL, GA, NM, AZ) in my life and this has been the worse one to date. It is clear that Alaska has a dearth of competition and it shows in their professionalism. I will think twice about purchasing a Toyota vehicle hear as I have clear reservations on their Service Dept. I only hope I can find a reputable and honest mechanic from now on.
