Then, 10 years later, my wife took her ring in to have it cleaned on a cold winter's day. They cleaned it with the hot solution like all jewelry stores do, it sparkled when she left the store, then went outside and on her way home, she noticed the diamond had become completely cloudy. She took it back to them the next day, had them look at it under the microscope, and the diamond had cracked internally in 3 places, I presume due to contraction from the rapid temperature change from the hot solution to the cold outside air much as windshields do in winter time. Josh himself was the one who looked at it under the microscope, and he said there were no marks on the surface of the diamond, so it was obvious we hadn't hit the diamond on anything, and that it cracked internally on it's own. He didn't try to B.S. us and blame us for the diamond, most other jewelry stores would have just said we were sh*t out of luck, but he felt personally responsible he had sold us a diamond that didn't last, and he replaced the 1/2 carat diamond with another beautiful diamond of equal or better quality free of charge.
Those are the types of people I like dealing with, I would never buy jewelry anywhere else.
