When I first moved to Anchorage (in 1999) and my vehicle battery died, I asked the expert at Alaska Battery if he could recommend a local mechanic. He told me, "I would never take my car anywhere but Jay's Auto." After more than 18 years of engaging Jay to help with our many vehicles, I still completely agree with this rousing endorsement. Jay is a certified expert mechanic for Mazda, has a wealth of expertise working with many vehicle types, has the highest standard of integrity, and is a pleasure to do business with. He has helped us evaluate, maintain, and repair our vehicles through the past two decades (Mercedes, Porsche, Toyota, Ford, Mazda, Subaru, and Bigfoot - including trucks, RV's, vans, SUV's, hybrids, sedans, and several convertibles). And, if a repair is outside his area of expertise, he knows who to send us to for excellent service. Jay has been unfailingly welcoming, kind, and honorable.
