Jared and his crew were to arrive at 9am on the given start date (a Wednesday), but did not arrive until 1pm, claiming to have been held up at Lowes in the valley. We were told the job would take a day. His crew arrived again Thursday, late (another Lowes hold-up), and still was not finished. They did not return until Sunday, and only because we were moving our things back in on Monday.
When the job was complete, we were told that they did not in fact use leveling compound (after Jared told me that he had discussed things with my husband - which I would know nothing about as a woman - that had actually not been discussed), and instead leveled the floor with cardboard. He became very defensive when questioned about the appropriate choice of leveling medium, and claimed that it was in fact a rush job, but he did the best he could. If cardboard is the best he can do, I suggest you go elsewhere.
After the job was finished, we have flex in many areas of the floor, and within a month of completion, no less than 13 planks have separated and a certain section of floor has over 1/2 inch of flex. The crew took all scraps of expensive trim and edging (which we paid for) but claim to not have them. They also managed to nick and chip 3 freshly painted walls, with a minimum of 6 spots per wall - all of which need to be touched up.
I tried to work with Jared to bring him back into fix the moving planks, but after a solid month of missed appointments (he was held up at Lowes), he completely skipped the last one, and is not returning my messages. It is an easy enough fix, but it seems he does not want to stand by his sub-par job.
