They were a bit late from a previous job, however they worked fast and diligently to load and unload our items. Nothing was broken or damaged in the process and they were LIGHTENING fast. They moved couches, bookcases, chest freezer, TV's, bedroom furniture, my guy's pride and joy table saw as well as other large tools and a huge workbench. They finished in roughly an hour or a bit more, but we were charged for a two hour minimum for 5 guys. I thought when I had called the minimum was quoted to me as 1 hour, but I called a few places in the beginning that it could have been my mistake. I think having such a large work crew (versus the normal two guys you get elsewhere) made a HUGE difference in the time, allowing us to finish off the small things left in our move. My first choice was Allen's Moving but they were booked the day I needed it done and the owner of that company even recommended J R Moving to me. That right there says a LOT about both companies. I don't think I'm moving again anytime soon, but if I needed movers again I would call J R back. A bonus, their guys are personable and fun... you can crack jokes with them and that is just awesome.

Courteous and professional

They promised a truck and four workers. They showed up, with five workers. The needed minimal direction, they did the job quickly and professionally. Until unpacking, I won't know if they damaged anything, but so far everything looks good. I will contact them again when I move the stuff from storage into my new home.

This was the first time that we hired movers as opposed to the usual pickup truck brigade with friends, and it was one of the best
decisions we have ever made. JR Moving was recommended by a friend whose family has been using the company for many years. It was quick and easy to set up the appointment. The cost was reasonable compared to other companies in town. The crew was professional, polite, and gentle with our belongings. They worked a solid 6 hours for us, only breaking for about 15 minutes when we ordered pizza for them for lunch. I will absolutely use JR Moving in the future.

They did a great job! they showed up on time with more guys than the 4 they quoted me. we did all the packing. They moved out all the boxes and furniture. I cant remember how much we paid but it was reasonable and they worked hard the whole time, if had to do it ourselves it would have taken days. I would definitely use them again.

I had a 2 bedroom apt in a storage unit (900 sq ft worth of stuff ) and it was a death trap (because my husband got frustrated) and I had 6 men who were able to figure out how to remove each item without injuring themselves or my furniture. It literally took them 45 min to pack my things into the truck 20 min to drive to my new place and then it took them 1hr to put it in my new apartment with me telling them and quot;no not there, over thereand quot;. I didn't have to lift a finger and they did a awesome job. Im happy
When I called to get an estimate it was WAY off he told me that it would be $165/hr and it would take 3 hrs that is 495 YIKES

Do clearly mark the items that are to stay in the home. We sold some items to the new homeowner and they were swept up in the move and taken to the storage unit. We were able to retrieve them during the second move so it wasn't a big issue. Overall, both moves went very well. The movers were efficient and hard workers. They took care of our items and made sure the packing into the truck and storage unit was secure. Overall, the moves were excellent. We had one broken dish but I packed it!We thought they provided us with excellent service at a reasonable price and plan on using them again.

Called two weeks ahead of time and they had a range of dates available. Set up the move for a Friday afternoon. Didn't hear anything from them again until they showed up an hour and a half early on the Friday we had scheduled. It was 4 guys and JR who moved all of our stuff into the truck. They had to come back for a second truckload and so we also stopped at our storage unit. They worked hard and efficiently. We were very happy with the service and would definitley use them again.

Called for pricing and availability, dealt with JR himself via phone conversation. JR said they are available anytime with 3 days advance notice. So I called 3 days prior to the moving day and he scheduled it. They were there on time with 5 guys and a large van. Like I said previously it took them less than 2 hours and only one trip to complete my move.

I was referred to JR Movers from a family member who had used them withing the last year, along with other family members who had used them in the past. They were great. Arrived on time, were quick , courteous and friendly.

Made initial contact about two weeks before I needed them to move us. Called the day before to confirm, and JR Movers got to the house in Eagle River when they said they would on the day scheduled. Took only a couple of hours to load everything with their crew of guys. Drove to south end of Anchorage and unload everything and put it where we asked them to. These guys were great compared to a moving company that moved us 3 years ago.

This project was daunting for me but went better than expected, they are so fast!

I was very happy with the work they performed, not only were they quick, but, they also moved my furniture without any damages. This was a last minute request, BUT, JR Movers went out of their way to fit me in their schedule and they did a GREAT JOB!!
