The fence job was to be completed by June 20. The fence was not completed on time. They would show up at noon and leave at one or two for lunch, come back an hour or two later, work until 5pm and quit for the day. They left tools, trash and even their clothes laying all over my yard. There were days they didn't show up at all, but Tim, the owner, always had an excuse. He is very good at excuses and did do a decent job on the fence once it was completed, , however when you guarantee a customer that the job will be finished by a certain date, you do whatever is necessary to complete that job on time, including working later than 5pm or working on your days off. You don't take days off because it's raining, you don't take days off because you forgot it was your birthday or your anniversary...you schedule those events around your normal days off or after you complete the job. They busted a bag of quickset cement open on my rv parking pad and just left it sitting out in the rain. I was away from home and when I got home around midnight had to go clean it up before it got wet enough to set up on my asphalt. He also did our neighbors section of fence and my neighbor was as unhappy about the messes left in his yard, the constant delays, excuses, missed days, etc...as I was, he told me he finally threatened to get an antty. As for painting my brother's home; my brother passed away and his children and I are trying to get his home ready for sale. I hired Tim to do both jobs at the same time May 23, 2014 after he finished the fence I expected he would start on the house. Nope. Finally in July I contacted him again about why he hadn't started painting the house. His answer was because it was raining and he couldn't get enough days to let it dry out...now there is a carport that covers a good chunk of the, under 900sq ft, house and there are eves so the house doesn't really get wet unless there are winds blowing the rain sideways and they hadn't even scraped the old paint off, which you can do while it's wet. So I told him again that I was on a time limit and he had guaranteed he could get this done in a timely manner. So he finally does the job and says it's finished, I go look and there is over spray on the windows, the doors, they missed spots everywhere there is the old turquoise paint showing thru, half the back of the shed isn't even painted, the bottom trim on the shed isn't painted, the bottom trim of the eaves isn't painted, half the pieces of wood going from the house to the front of the eaves weren't painted. He poured paint out on the ground on the side of the house under the raspberries. He dug it up after I told him it's illegal to dump paint on the ground because it leaches into the ground water, which feeds into campbell creek, but I took pictures. He has been back 4 times to do touch ups, texted me yesterday said he was done, I went by today there is still spots that are showing the old paint underneath, so again it is not finished. I went off on him and cursed him out when he didn't show up for days on end and I told him I was sick of his excuses, not to even reply with an excuse and I was told I was a pain, apparently your a pain if you expect him to do the job you paid him for. When you walk up to the front door and the first thing you see is the old paint around the door jam where they didn't even get any of the new paint over it, the job was not done properly. It has been almost 3 months since I hired him to do this job and it is still not complete. They didn't tape anything off at all according to the neighbors at my brother's. They show a complete and total disregard for your property, they left empty paint buckets and junk food trash strewn all over my yard while they worked and my neighbors yard and my brothers yard they left the old fence, which he was supposed to dispose of, laying on my grass for two weeks until I finally told him you need to get this out of here you are wrecking my grass and reminded him that while yes, this was his job site, it was also still my home and that my neighbors and I take great care in keeping out homes and yards nice and that I expected his tools to be cleaned up and stored in one spot at the end of the day not just dropped and left to lay wherever they stood when they finished. I have taken pictures of all of this. As of last contact with him on Aug 7 he was, supposed to go back and touch up all the unfinished spots for the 5th time. Today is Sept 12 and he has not done squat.
