HALE'S TECHNICAL SVC

I have been going to Hale's for a few years now and have never had a bad experience with them. On 6/2//14 I called early in the morning because my car had a pinging noise in it and I wanted to have it checked out. I have never gone anywhere but to Hale's with my new car as was worried something might be really wrong with it. When I called the young man who answered the phone said the earliest they could get me in was Friday, 6/6/14. I was worried so I asked if I could just swing by and at least have someone listen to it to rest my mind that it was ok to use my car. Desiree (the owner) was there and came out to say hi to me, heard my noise, told me to pop the hood. Then she asked me to wait inside that she wanted to pull it into the back. She came back out in a fe minutes and said she was doing an oil change (I was due one in Nov 13 or 40,000 miles) but had gotten into an accident and in the body shop they had taken the battery out so that wiped out the computer's memory of my oil change. So Desiree told me that since it was long overdue she pulled the dipstick and low and behold it didn't show any oil on it. I was so happy that she was there for me and took care of my car so fast and so professional. My husband, my adult son, my adult daughter all use Hale's knowing how good they are.

Engine light came on, they replaced spark plugs, engine light went off, but then on again. They offered to look at it again free of charge. They ran diagnostics and said all is well, light was off, but then on again. They offered to look again, and did, but same story. They never really explained what was going on or offered a solution. They did not charge for the subsequent checks, and just said to come back for a recheck at some undefined point later...when I took it to another shop which works on Subarus a lot, they said both head gaskets were leaking a lot, lots of rust, the catalytic converter was probably going and would need replacing...

This was the last of many times that I have had my car in to Hale's. I would NEVER think of taking my car to anyone but Hale's. Desiree and her crew are AWESOME !!!! My adult son uses my car to do his paper route up on the hillside since his is broke down. Somehow or other he got rocks and mud built up between the motor, motor mounts, gear shaft and tranny. It was making an ugly noise and causing the car to act like a vibrating recliner when you put it in reverse. Thinking it might be the tranny I made a desperate call (again) to Desiree and she said to bring it in as soon as I could. With a full list of clients already accounted for she worked my car in, found the problem and fixed it. To my happy amazement she had it back the next day with a smile and a funny "tell your son no more mud bogging and to stay out of the gravel pits" ... we all laughed and as always with Hale's I walked out with full knowledge that my car was fixed. Till the next time my son does something to it ... grin. The time prior to that I again called in a panic because my car was making a noise in the front, only to be told that I needed to get it in asap and again Desiree had a full docket but worked my car in as she could. That time it took a day longer than normal as she had to order the part but she did not pass that cost on to me. She and her crew are the only ones who will ever as long as they are in business work on my car, my husband's car, my son's car and his new girlfriend's car. My son and his new lady like the way Desiree worked with my in getting my little car up and running again so they plan on keeping her as their mechanic now as well.

My truck was having problems with the 4wd and so I took it into the shop. They gave me a quote and said they had time to start working on it the next day, and said it would take a few days. I dropped off the truck, and a few days later it was done for what they quoted me.
