I found my hot water heater tank leaking Friday morning, first company I called told me they could get to me in two weeks unless I wanted to pay time and a half. Called H&M they were out that evening and got it mostly installed finished up on Saturday at regular rate. Excellent workmanship and attitude!! Thank you Chris, Mike & Bill.

They're probably going to come out next week and replace 2 toilets for us. I always use them because of their responsiveness and their knowledge. For the price they are a lot less than some companies. If they're at a job and it takes longer than they anticipated, they won't leave until it's done so it's really hard to say. If you're not the first call you may have to wait a little while but you know that they will be there and they won't leave your place until they are finished.

I had Bill out to inspect an air issue in the boiler lines – pipes banging in my mothers home. She had been using Hand M plumbing for over 20 years. He inspected the boiler, said there was a leak in the concrete slab down stairs leaking under the house, and that the copper lines to the heat registers would have to be dug up and replaced. Due to it being 20 below outside we put that repair on hold, he then lowered the boiler pressure to 10 PSI claiming it would slow the leak under the slab Another visit a couple of weeks later concerned water on top of the water heater. He said the unit would have to be replaced due to the an internal leak and that it was not repairable, but that the heater had a life time warranty (he installed 2 years ago) but the labor wouldn't be covered. After reading the owner's manual on the heater, I found that there was a replacement kit for the heater to repair the leak he said we had. I then called another plumber. The new plumber came out inspected the heater. He said there was nothing wrong with the heater and repaired the pin hole in the copper flex line on the water inlet side above the heater. He then inspected the boiler and found the water fill valve regulator jamb packed full of debris. Replaced the water fill valve, replaced a gasket that was leaking at a union. He then recommended I never allow the other guy back into my mother's home Every thing works fine. Bill's rough estimate for digging up the slab and replacing the lines, 1500.00 + Labor to replace the water heater 400+ Amount paid to other plumber, 150.00 in labor and 125.00 in parts Bill is incompetent at best. It seems to me he likes to take advantage of 80 year old widows.
