It went great!

I honestly have never had a more upsetting appointment with a provider. To be fair, we did not see Dr. Ghosh himself, but rather a young cocky guy with a deplorable personality, whom I think had only recently completed a Master's degree. Having had no formal training in the area of children with autism, he proceeded to question my son's diagnosis, which had been made several years before by an eminent neuropsychologist (that's a PhD, pal). Really?? Just an awful, awful experience. In talking to other parents, this is apparently the place to go if you're only interested in medicating your child. But I would not take my child to an office for a social skills group when the provider's own such skills are completely lacking.

I really like that he has a family oriented office; everything is for the children. He goes well beyond to make that the children have what they like. The office is very well organized, kept together and sanitized. He is wonderful and will stay with the children and get them talk to him. He is more of a friend to them to earn their trust. That is absolutely very hard. I have four kids that go see him. My children are extremely hard to get along with. My kids have fun whenever they go there and they ask to go visit him. His entire staff is wonderful and friendly. We never have to wait; the longest time that I have waited in the waiting room was like 10 minutes. It is not difficult to wait because they have so many toys to play with.

It's hard to get people to see children under 13. He's excellent. He's very child focused and has a vision. He's really trying to do something different for children so that they don't have to be hospitalized. He really tries to put together comprehensive care. I only give him a B for availability because there have been some change in staffing.
