They came to the house to perform procedure. I can't remember the exact price but a few hundred dollars. Their prices are very good. They are very responsive.

They were really good at helping us with the cat. Unfortunately, he passed away about a year after we adopted him. They were so good at helping us get the right treatment for him and explaining all of our options. They were amazing. When we were ready to adopt another cat, we went back there to have them help us.

I would say their overall approach to care is okay, but the communication between clients and doctors and technicians can get confusing. I have so far ended up talking to 4 different people about our pets care, and none of them ever know his full story.  That could be the nature of an emergency vet, and I appreciate them being there during all hours.  However, a holistic approach to care is difficult here and one vet will never get to know your pet or their history very well. The last time we went in, they even pulled up the wrong records when discussing our pet's health which made for a completely confusing situation.

I have had good service from this vet in the past, but these last disorganized visits have left me looking for somewhere else where I can be confident a team will work with us on care because we are prepared to do whatever it takes to get our buddy healthy again. I would go here for after hours emergency services still.

I go to get lot of meds for her. I also had some lab work done. They are open 24 hours and I can go to them whenever I want. There is no difference in charge to go in the middle of the night than in the day. I think they schedule appointment from 8 until 2, after that it is a walk in. I think they are great and the only problem I have, which is not their fault is that because I don't have appointments and they do walk in I have to wait long.

They always seem to have available appointments within a reasonable amount of time. My daughter has used them on an emergency basis. They have been very good and their prices are reasonable.

They were recommended by 2 associates for emergency pet care. Both individuals were able to share stories that convinced me to use the clinic. At staff and professionals at the Diamond Clinic were extremely caring, gave an accurate diagnosis and recommended reasonable care. I will definitely use them for all future pet emergencies.

Perfect considering the circumstances. The entire staff was compassionate, kind and extremely professional. They are not my primary vet, but I would consider changing vets as a result of this experience.

My dog was throwing up with diareha. There was a lot of blood in both.. I called ahead to Diamond animal hospital to let them know I was heading in with a very sick dog so we could expedite his check in. I was a client of the business, and they had regular files on all my pets. It was 5:38 am and we bundled our 13 lb. dog up in a blanket.
We arrived at Dimond Animal hospital. There was no cars in the parking lot, and no other customers inside. The place was like a morgue. We went inside, and no one had pulled the file on my pet. The receptionist didn't seem to have a clue, and appeared to be quite indifferent to what I had to say. We stood around waiting with our dog bundled in my wifes arms.
Finally, we were lead to a room, to wait for a vet. I told the vet the symptoms, and told them to thoroughly check the dog out, and get him stabilized. I also stated the cost was not an issue. The dog had lost blood and liquids, and was dehydrated. The vet, Dr. Jamie Merrigan, proceeded to tell us it was nothing to be concerned about, and seemed more interested in how to cut corners on the pet's treatment. It was like she didn't want to be bothered with caring for my pet. I might not be a vet, but the amount of blood from my dog was significant, and it had come out of both ends. I told the vet not to cut corners, to check out everything, that I was not concerned about $500 dollars or more in cost. I was trying to get the vet to expedite the process so the dog could get stabilized. I was hoping to let the vet take charge of the animal and begin treatment immediately, so that I could get out of the way, and go to the front reception area to pre-pay the bill and sign paperwork. Keep in mind I had called ahead, and given all the information, as the car warmed up, and my wife got dressed.
Instead the young Dr. Jamie Merrigan seemed reluctant to do anything for the animal, and actually became argumentative and snotty with my wife. Dr. Merrigan just could get through her head that I wanted a complete exam of my dog, and that the dog was very ill, and needed help immediately, and that I wanted to go up front to pre-pay my bill. I didn't need a lecture from Mrs. Merrigan.
However, Dr. Jamie Merrigan started being nasty with my wife when my wife tried to get her to take the dog and begin treatmeant. Dr. Jamie Merrigan stated, and quot;It wasn't that important.and quot; Dealing with Dr. Jamie Merrigan was like dealing with a petulant teenager that chooses not to hear a thing you have to say, and looks for something to get offended about.
There is no professionalism at Diamond animal hospital in Anchorage, Alaska. We left with our dog, and took him to another provider where he was immediately cared for. At the time of this post our dog is on an I.V. in intensive care recieving treatment. I pre-paid his bill at the other animal hospital for the amount of $1,511 dollars, and will gladly pay more to get him healthy. Gee.......Dr. Jamie Merrigan I guess the dog was sick. He should be out in about two days.
As we left Diamond Animal Hospital we asked for a contact number for the owner whom I have talked to in the past when I had brought my pets in for routine items. None of the young staff of three girls was forthcoming with a number (This includes Dr. Merrigan). It was totally unprofessional.

We always go to them once a year. I have one dog that punctures himself once a year. They are good with that dog. Their prices are comparable. They are not just emergency services, one can go there and use them as a regular vet, so we have switched our accident-prone dog here. They are always there when my pet is in an emergency and needs immediate services. They are open 24x7. All the vets, I have seen all of them and all of them are compassionate and kind. I had one dog that passed way there and they are very compassionate when it comes to that. They are good with when no more can be done. They do everything they can and they let one know when they can't do anymore. The staff is amazing. Even the location is awesome.

After my (former) normal vet refused to see my injured cat (lame front leg) because I did not have an appointment, I went to Diamond Animal Hospital. They saw me immediately. Evaluation took about 10 minutes. From walking in the door to walking out, it took about 20 minutes. Very caring and professional.
