Bev's Dog Grooming

Dog was butchered in general, rushed job, teeth not done, feet looked horrible, nails were trimmed, but really long. Just a rushed hack job and my dog was stressed out.

My dogs were there all day and apparently never taken out to go potty. When I picked them up one had pooped in the crate and the other peed and pooped on the floor. They seemed traumatized by the whole day. I will not go back.

We took our Yorkie there to get the hair cut on his head so it wasn’t in his eyes. When my husband went to pick him up, they had shaved his whole body. They said he had to many knots. We comb this puppy, his five months old, and he may of had a few knots but not enough to justify shaving his coat in Nov. especially without calling us and talking to us. Bev told my husband when he drop off our dog that she was giving him one of her best groomers. I’d hate to see the worst. We will never go back. We had used this place before with our Pomeranians and they had done a good job. But this was inexcusable.

I have 2 Westies that I took to Bev's for the first time. When I picked them up, one had peed and pooped in the crate and the other came out and immediately went on the floor. It was clear that they had been in the crate all day and not allowed out. The seemed to be tramatized by the entire event. I will not be going back.

It was snowy day and most businesses were closed Bev's was open on time.  This was his 3rd time he has been cut at Bev's and each time it has been trimmed to my specifications and he looks great.  It has been a really good experience and I will continue to use this business.

My 3lb dog is easy to groom but she absolutely hated going there.  The groomers where not very friendly.

This is the third time I have taken my dog to Bev's.  They did a fine job the first time, but have even improved on that each time I went back.  They want their customers to be pleased, so they write down their wishes, and requests.  Since my dog is a poodle, and a little more involved, Bev always schedules her to be groomed by one of her more experienced groomers.  Last time I was not only pleased with what the groomer had done, I was very impressed!  When I have picked my dog up from other groomers, she has been so stressed that she was actually running a fever.  This has never happened when I take her to Bev's.  My dog is treated very well indeed.  I highly recommend Bev's.

Staff greeted me and took my dog to the back for a nail trim.  The shop was quiet and they were able to work with my pet who can be anxious during nail trimming.  It took 5-10 minute and my dog was brought back up.  I paid and left.  Dog was fine and service was convenient.  The shop is a quiet place when I was there and the staff keeps busy working so there isn't a lot of chatter.

I was satisfied with the grooming itself, but not with the person who was dealing with me. 

I've been going to Bev's for years now. Two years ago, I read a couple bad reviews online and decided to try out other places around town. I went to 4 other grooming places all over Anchorage, and was disappointed each time. Not only were they more expensive, but my dog wasn't clean after most of the services. A few places quicked her nails and after grooming she still had caked on dirt on her skin. I had enough. After a long winter of grooming (or trying to) my dog myself, I sucked it up and took her back to Bev's. She looked awful and I was embarrassed to even be bringing her in looking like that. Bev had her done in less than an hour and a half, and she was like a new dog. She looks great, and I'm sorry I wasted so much time and money trying every other groomer. Bev does a good job. I won't be going anywhere else again.
