We use Alaska Sales ad Service Anchorage.  I was there just before winter.  Their a dealership so anytime you go their it's more but we do it for the warranty.  They could be a little lower in price.  When they do the oil and stuff it's good but we found some discrepancies when we've asked for other things we get charged for but they don't get done.  On simple things they're good with responsiveness.

I have a Saturn Outlook and I've used them for major (replace transmission) to minor (oil change) work and everything has been done just fine.  Their work on warranty items has been fantastic.  There were a few times that things weren't  fixed right the first time but they eventually get it all worked out and they have never tried to charge me twice when things weren't done right (even when something broke after a year when there was a known manufacturer defective part issue, but no warranty in play).   I think they pay special respect to repeat customers.

I first called Alaska Sales and Service regarding a recall my I had received and that my car was experiencing. The representative "T Bone" said he found the recall and asked if I could bring my car in the next day. I asked if they had a night drop and he stated yes and explained to me that I put my keys in an envelope, describe what I wanted done/looked at and put his name on the envelope. When I dropped off my car that night I was sure to put recall on the envelope and the part it was regarding, NOTHING ELSE was checked.
The next afternoon I called to see what was happening and how long they would need the car. I was transferred to a voice mail box of the person I originally spoke with. I left a message and did not hear back from this person for 2-3 hours. When I did hear back he told me that he made an error and that recall had expired and while I was on the phone he said that there was a similar recall for my vehicle that does not expire till 2015 and he would check with his supervisor first thing the next day to ensure there would be no further problems and he would call me to let me know what would happen.
After waiting till 11 a.m. I was asked to leave a message on "T Bones" voicemail, which I did. An hour and half later he still has not returned my call. I finally heard from him around 1 p.m. to be told that it was a good recall and they would fix the part. I called back around 5 p.m. just to again leave a message that was never returned.
I am now on the 3rd day of them having my car and am calling to see how much longer they will need to keep it. All I am told is that the my car has been giving to a mechanic and leave a message with T-Bone again. I left 3 messages and never heard back from anyone.
Today I called as soon as they opened at 7:00 a.m. and got the general voice mail to which I left a message. NO ONE CALLED ME BACK!. I had to call again and when they were supposedly transferring me to T-Bone himself I ended in someone elses voice mail box. When I called RIGHT back T Bone was now with a customer and could he call me back. An hour later no call, so I called him back and FINALLY got to talk to him! At this time he informs me that part that was recalled was not fixed and that "Even if they do fix it they cannot guarantee that my problem will go away because they have found there is something else wrong that may be affecting my Power Steering. Did I want them to fix the whole problem, or just fix the recall?" At this point I am furious that they have had my car for 4 DAYS and have not even started to fix the recall. Not only that but they wanting me to let them fix "ANOTHER PROBLEM" and I will have to pay for that. He asked me what I wanted to do and I said I want my car back. He went on about the problems and I told him even if I wanted them to fix the car I did not have the money at this time. At that point I stated I just wanted to pick up my car. TBone replied by saying "It will take a couple of hours to put it back together"
THAT WAS THE FINAL STRAW!!! Here is a company that is locally owned and suppose to committed to the community pulling this #hi#. I will never go to this company for a vehicle or for car repair again. I will also be sure to tell all my friends, family and strangers not to do business with them.

They left 6 of the bolts loose on the rear differential causing it to leak like a sieve. We also put brakes on the truck and the brakes lasted only two weeks; I had to buy more parts than I should not have had to buy so I am not happy with them. This company is a big Chevy dealer up here. I will not use them again in the future.

The person that previously handled my service paperwork was very good and the prices were reasonable. After he left the service and pricing changed... and not for the better. Motor homes are not their specialty so beware. I'm looking for a new place.

We were treated very professionally by not only the sales person we worked with (Marcus) but by everyone in the building. Which was refreshing after car shopping for 2 days with children. How your kids are treated by the passing employees can vary greatly from dealership to dealership. Everyone acknowledged our kids and were very nice to them as they played in the kids area and one of the sales managers even showed our oldest daughter all the cool features of some of the cars in the showroom while we were talking over options. She now is deciding between the Corvette vs Escalade. The sales staff made sure that my wife knew how to work all the bells and whistles of each car she test drove. We were given hard factual answers to our questions about each vehicle we were interested so we could compare them side by side. There was no "I'm just going to guess at mileage and throw a number out.." If they didn't know they were quick to say and looked up the answer right in front of you so we could make the best decision. There was no pressure that if we didn't buy RIGHT NOW that the car would disappear. They were also very good about going over the new vs used option and I never felt pressured to spend more. Getting the financing arranged was a breeze and was done quickly thanks to JC. There was no going back and forth or bait and switch tactics attempted. All of the numbers that were discussed at the sales desk were the same when we got to the finance desk which was a nice change from some other dealerships in town. All of the financing options (extended warranties, life insurance, etc) were clearly explained as to what they would vs would not cover and the cost for each was very clear. I will be going back for my next car.
