I was disappointed. The service was spotty and could not be relied upon. It wasn't always a weather issue. It was a problem of showing up and doing the task. Often the provider missed weeks of service and I would have to call to tell them they needed to send someone by to clean. I also kept calling and reminding them to clean my deck over and over again. The service was much better in the beginning but had really gotten spotty when I let them go. They did return calls fairly promptly-- usually within 24 hours.

I bought a yearly service after trying them for a couple months, These guys are wonderful! Not only do they do a great job and are very through cleaning up, they are pleasant people and nice to my dogs. They have never missed a day, rain , snow or break up time. The office was great to work with also, very nice and cooperative about all instructions and explaining what and how they work.
They have a guarantee that if you aren't happy or they missed areas they will return to do it again. Each week I walk around and look, I have never had to have them return. I have 3 acres and I swear they hit the whole thing when weather permits.
Hang in there folks, I am sold on your service!

APYS was amazing! I left a message for the owner late in the evening of March 11. At 9:30AM on March 12, I received a call from the office and they set us up for service that day! They weren't sure when the yard technician would be able to make it over (it was a warm Spring day...imagine how challenging it would be to clean up pet waste while the snow and waste are melting around you) but gave me an approximate time range. The driver called and checked in with me early in the afternoon to let me know he was about 20 miinutes out. When Matthew arrived, he was respectful, professional, worked hard and was great with the one dog that is an outside dog. He spent about an hour on our yard, and had a very large bag of trash when all was said and done - he put it in the refuse container outside and headed on his way.
The next morning, March 13, Mindy (from the office) called to follow up and make sure everything went well, we were satisfied with the work that was done, and basically just checked in. Awesome follow-up! I would HIGHLY recommend Alaska Pet and Yard Services!

When I call the office, they are very responsive. I have used this company on a monthly basis for almost a year and they have done an excellent job. I use the poop scooping service on a regular basis and they are quick and professional. I had them do spring clean up last year and would hire them again. They also did yard clean up for me this fall and I was impressed.

The kennel cleaning service is consistant and I've had very few issues with their work. Since snowfalls often cover up the poop, and it occasionally gets missed. As the snow melts and the poop is exposed, they clean that up at no extra charge. They also provide a free spring cleanup for the times they might have missed due to weather issues. One of the things I really like is that they are careful to make sure that the kennel gates are locked following their visit. I've never had to worry that the gate isn't closed so my dogs could escape. When frost heaves made one of the gates unusable, the manager and I worked out an alternate path for the cleaners to use. I like that he was solution-oriented. I definitely recommend this company.

these men are great at what they do. Kind to the pets, careful to get it all even if they have to come back later. never let the dogs loose out of the yard. Always closes gate. Does a thorough job. These people are great and do a thorough job. They always are careful around my raspberry bushes, they get in the corners, I have asked on a couple of occasions for the person to check under the stairs and always get a cheerful "happy too". They usually have treats for the dogs and my dogs will actually ask to go out when they are here. I have seen them throw a ball for the dogs (there are always dog toys out in the yard). I would recommend them to anyone with a dog as they take pride in their work.

We used them last year with a Groupon and were very impressed with the quality of the work. So we scheduled a spring job with them for this year. Not as impressed. They came 2 days earlier than we had scheduled. That wouldn't be a huge deal except that we wanted to give them some direction and when we called to do so, it was too late (we were out of town). In looking at our yard once we got back to town, it was done with a noticeably lower quality than last year. I don't think it was worth what we paid. I am not a complainer so I did not call them. I'll just finish up the job myself.

It was a little difficult getting a hold of someone to provide me details on the various specials shown on their website, mostly because they use a call service...so you have to leave your name and number and wait for a call-back. Once I finally got a call from the main gal, we worked out the details. Cleaners did a great job, were very thorough and followed through on the promised service, double-bagged and all. I think they did a better job than one of their competitors, who I used the year before last.

We've been using Ak Pet Services for 5 years or so now.
They are out every Monday morning like clockwork. Clean up the yard and put the bag in my trash can. During the summer when my trash can is in the garage (bears you know) they set it where I ask and I put it up when I get home.
Spring clean up is great! They are working the yard as the snow melts off instead of waiting until all the snow is gone - which, as you can imagine, is wonderful.
The only time they may not be out is when there is a good dump of snow right before my day which would make it impossible to find any 'packages'. This is in the contract so it was never a suprise.
Obviously if we've been using Ak Pet Services for this long, we are very satisfied with their service. At $45.00 a month - shoot, you couldn't even get a neighborhood kid to do that.
I can be hard to communicate with during the day, but have never had a problem leaving messages or emailing Ak Pet Services (which works great) if something needs to be relayed.

I enrolled for a one year cleaning. They come once a week to our home. I like having a clean back yard but I dislike the little flyers that they leave on my door. I like that for a small fee they clean my yard. I would tell others that they would be real happy with the service. I will continue to use their service in the future.
