Alaska Coral Finatics

I found out about this store and it's new location from an employee at Pet Zoo.  I was looking for a couple of Royal Emperor Tetra's.  When I visited it was was on a Saturday and the employee's appeared very busy if maybe a bit disorganized.  I waited until someone could talk to me about some Emperor Tetra's they had in one of their tanks.  These had red eyes and I was not familiar with the species.  I explained my community tank completely and asked it they were wild caught and the man said they were and very rare and did not know exactly what type of tetra they were but thought they were all females.  Since none of the employees there could tell me more about the Tetra's- or cared to, I made the decision to spend $24.00 and purchase two.  At home I put these two in my hospital tank with 8 cardinal tetra's I also purchased that day.  In two days one of the tetra's killed 4 of the Cardinal tetra's and had bullied all the other fish into hiding, including the other tetra I bought with him.  My schedule did not allow me to return them until Wednesday night so I put the cardinals in a net breeder in the hospital tank so no more would be killed.  I took them back tonight and was completely ignored when I came in the door with the fish.  I finally had to request that someone assist me.  From that moment on it got very ugly.  One of the employees walked by me to put the bag back in the tank and made a comment about "anyone want a couple of great looking fish?".  Then he walked away and I was ignored again until I made the point of requesting help again.  This person proceeded to tell me exactly what type of fish they were and told me that it was impossible that they killed my cardinals.  I said that I could not get them to eat anything and before I could tell him everything I tried to feed them he said "thats not right we've had them for a month and they have been eating like crazy".  I think he was less than a truthful person since after getting them home I could tell their stomachs were almost to the concave state.  I could not talk to this jerk!  Then he asked when I bought them and I said Saturday and he immediately went into the store refund policy.  I asked if they would not give me any kind of credit and he started in on the 48 hours policy again and started walking away in the pretense of pointing to it on the wall or something.  I told him I did not need to see his policy since I would not ever shop there again and he gave me a real nasty look and said "that's fine with me". 
I take responsibility for not fully knowing the species of fish I was buying.  I also know that these guys are rude jerks who are argumentative, confrontational and arrogant.  I will  never shop there again.  If these guys are still in business a few years from now I suggest anyone else in town could open a coral/fish shop because apparently you don't need to have a business education or experience to make a shop like this succeed.
