We wanted to try out the Thule Cross Country Ski / Hike Kit before we shelled out the cash to buy one. Alaska Baby Rentals provided us a week long rental at a very reasonable rate. We liked the kit so much, at the end of the week we decided to buy one. Alaska Baby Rentals again came to our rescue and sold us the rental kit we just tried out. In our case we were lucky that the rental was brand new, it had just been unwrapped from the box, so we had no problem buying the rental as we were the first time users. We also had the option to buy a brand new one. Our rental cost also contributed to the purchase price. We didn't have to return the item either, just a simple phone call took care of purchasing the item after trying it out. We were very happy with the exceptional service and professionalism of this small local business. I would recommend them to anyone looking to try out equipment, buy, or rent while you are visiting Alaska.
