"I'm Sorry to say but we did not work for you, at least I did not perform a bid for you. I don't know if this is a mistake but we have not worked in Girdwood this season."
"If we had known that she was not happy with the completed project it would have been delt with. As for me asking for the money, Not right. This home is back near the Eagle River Visitor ctr., and yes I did leave guys to do the work. The house was completely stripped and stained with a natural finish which looked really good being the fact that the home had rawhide on it before with mildew in quite a few areas. The deck was cleaned then refinished with the color of her choice, she did want to paint the rails and floors but this is not a good idea. We do not cover decks in a warranty for a reason as they will PEEL. I apologized about the leaving garbage & cigarette butty on the ground as I myself do not smoke, and yes the guys were spoken to and this ended. Over all job did not take over a year, we came back to finish up on some touch up work as asked with no problem. We did exactly what was ask from us and more. We do have pics of before and after of this home and like I had mentioned this home looks great. Why do people wait four years later to tell us? We are sorry we did not make a you satisfied customer, I felt at the end of this project things were all good, I guess I read them wrong. I do feel like the biggest complaint was the cigrette butts from the guys, Sorry again."
As far as the job went, I could not be more impressed with the work Brad and his foreman did. An absolute transformation of my living room to put it simply. Everything was painted impeccably, and it was exactly how we envisioned it. Furthermore, Brad never skimped on the details, making sure every surface was appropriately textured and imperfections corrected. The job took a little more than a day to complete, right on with Brad’s initial estimate and quite impressive considering our living room is pretty large. He even removed the ridiculously large and cumbersome wall mirror free of charge so we did not have to deal with it.
Brad’s professionalism and responsiveness in conjunction with the results of our living room (the services we paid for) really made this a pleasant experience. We really feel like we paid a fair price for great service. We enjoy our new living room and working with Brad so much we are going to contract him for additional jobs we have around the house. The bottom line is Alaska Supreme Painting has to be one the potential contractors you seek a bid from, and I will recommend them for anyone who needs contracting work in the future. Thanks guys – you rock!
Professionalism and communication are very important traits for my wife and I, and Brad demonstrates these qualities in every way. Trying to be a smart consumer, I sought three bids to repaint my living room, including Alaska Supreme Painting and two other contractors (both having high marks on Angies list). I did not know it at the time as Brad was the first contractor I contacted, but he set the bar very high for the other bidders. The day I called, he was able to come to my house and bid my living room. He presented as very competent and experienced, listening to me as I illustrated my vision of the living room and then effectively explaining what he planned on doing and how. He sent an email that night with the bid amount and estimated approximately one day of work, his cost was reasonable and competitive. He was also able to separate the primary cost of my living room with additional jobs I wanted, such as removing a wall mirror and retexturing as needed. The other two contractors were much slower in their approach with me. After getting my bid from Brad (all in one day) it took about two weeks for both bidders to have their bids completed and sent to me (one estimated five days for the primary job and another five days for the mirror removal -- are you kidding me?). The lack of communication and slow place started to frustrate me. Furthermore, both other contractors generally seemed less interested in my concerns and wishes regarding the job. Needless to say, when I finally received the third bid; the choice to go with Brad was a no-brainer.

Upon completion the cedar looked fine. What I was not impressed with was the stain on my brand new rain gutters, window trim, house address numbers, etc. They did not remove or cover up any of these items and sprayed right over them.
I was out of town when the work was performed so I never had a chance to inspect the work quality until after the crew was gone.
After repeated calls and promises to return and fix the problem, I gave up. They never did return as was promised.
It was the result of his responsiveness on the basement that led to having him work on more public areas of our house.
We have smooth wall finish on our main levels on the home. When we discussed the job, we discussed preference to have it sprayed. The project ended up being rolled. Unfortunately, it appeared that the workforce were not that skilled painting smooth wall finishes.
The senior person seemed to be qualified to do the work but unfortunately he did not do the work by himself. Wall outlets and light fixtures were not removed from the wall to allow for rollers, the cutting in was by brush and the lines created by the brush were evident when light shines in the area.
Initially, we thought we could live with the problems. We are in the process of selling our home and have decided the finished product on the walls is unacceptable and are in the process of sanding or skimcoating the areas in question. We plan to repaint the walls.
To be fair, we have not pushed Brad to return to repair. Our preference is not to have him do the work. Based on our experience on the basement, he may have fixed to our satisfaction. We are a little discouraged that during any quality inspection he should/could have done on the workmanship would have identified the problems to ensure the perceived quality of his workmanship. This wasn't done. Likely busy and the desire to move on to the next job.
"I recall the home very well, want to say that this job was sprayed as discussed in the bid and not rolled. At the time of this job we were not to busy and like mentioned in the review yes I did go back and look at a few touch ups and had the guys take care of them. To start, this job had drywall issues and no it's not smooth wall it's texture was large skip trawl. If any issues were with painting I would be glad to have fixed them. We have plenty of experience in doing this job, I wish we could have been called if there was a problem... Thanks"
