They're one of the few places in the greater Pittsburgh area that actually does welding and can help you avoid replacing your car's entire exhaust system, or at least buy you some extra time with your existing system--thus saving you a ton of money. Marty's gave me an estimate last week of $120 to repair some holes in my car's exhaust system. Today I took my car in for my appt. with them, and it ended up costing only $53.50 because my car didn't need as much work as they originally thought. I freaking LOVE Marty's!!! And the people who work there are all very nice. You can stop in anytime and get a free estimate--if you have a little time to wait for them to check your car. (They will squeeze you in for a quick evaluation and estimate in between the other customers with appointments.) The waiting room is small and not fancy, but who cares when you are getting such an excellent service at a fantastic price? It was a beautiful July day, so I just sat outside in the parking lot next to the shop while they worked on my car. Marty's will not try to sell you parts you don't need. They are extremely honest. They will only do the work you need done and for a fair price. I will be getting all of my muffler, exhaust, or frame repair work done at Marty's for the rest of my life. I will never go anywhere else for this type of work. They have a loyal and grateful customer in me! Do yourself a favor, and check them out next time your car needs muffler, exhaust, or frame work. Showed Kenny the problem welds. He made the new welds and used a grinder to smooth out any rough spots in the welds. I was very pleased with the results

Got there half an hour before their normal start time 7 am and was around 8th in line. It is first come, first served on Saturday's at least. Crew started to work early and they got to my car a little after 8 and car was done by 8:30. Cost 90 dollars plus tax. Great service at a more than fair price, Highly recommend

- Nichols Welding serviceMy house has a grease trap in the basement floor. One of the bolts used to secure the lid broke from rust. You could see that it was previously welded in place and the welds deteriorated over time. (I have been in the house 12 years and this was the first occurrence that I know of) Joe Nichols brought his big welding rig on his truck and ran his cables from the front of my house to the back door of the basement. First he ground both the bolt and the stud in the ground to expose good metal. He then re-welded the bolt back into place. Joe went right to work and fixed the bolt in a short amount of time - less than an hour. There was more time setting up and tearing down than actually welding. He worked with me to put up cardboard and wet towels to protect the painted floor, wall, pipes, etc. from sparks. After he left the only evidence I saw that he was there was the bolt was back in place. He charged me his minimum charge which includes the road trip to the house and one hour of labor

"This job was hard because the chimney was flush with the masonry wall of the house and was accessible by only a narrow alleyway. Shannon brought a small hitch to the front of the house to remove the debris. He sent photos and videos of all the work and called whenever he had an update or found something we had to make a decision on. We are especially happy with the look and strength of the roof where the chimney was removed. Shannon matched the old shingles. Shannon and his team accomplished all this in less than a day, kept everything clean, and got an outstanding result. Other masons and contractors did not want to bid on the work because it was a tough job in a small area. We’re again thrilled and will hire Build with MD again soon.

"The craftsmanship was superb, it was really a work of art. However, admin constantly said one thing and did another, and did not fulfill their contract. The contract stated they were to provide handrail accents, which they never did, but still expected to be paid the full price. They claimed that we actually owed even more because there were change orders! (There never were any change orders). Also, we never got a chance to approve the design, and the finish was not what we selected.
