Hallways are often an overlooked area of the home. Typically people think of them as just a means to get from one room to the next. Lighting up your hallways is a great opportunity to add some value and mood inspiration to an otherwise simple space. Becoming creative with your hallway lighting allows for a touch of personality, a unique style, and maybe even the latest trend.

Here are a few different design types to inspire new hallway lighting ideas.

1. Sconce lighting

Moss’ employees had an overwhelming response to the question, “What is your favorite hallway lighting?” Sconces! This type of hall lighting idea comes in a variety of options. Here's an example of one our favorite, very unique, sconce light:

2. Industrial and minimalist lighting

More and more industrial décor seems to be trending in. Combine that with a clean and simple look and you’re set! Something as simple as taking a piece of wood and adding lights to it creates a dramatic piece. Here's one of our favorite industrial hallway lighting ideas:

3. Natural lighting

Another great hallway lighting idea is to incorporate natural lighting into your walk ways. Skylights are a great option, allowing for sunlight during the day and the moon’s rays at night.

Another option for natural lighting is solar tubes. Your hallway can be as bright as the sun!

4. Foot lighting

Leading up to the hallway is just as important as the hallway, right? Adding lights by the stairs is a great way to add drama to the space.
