Unfortunately, I would advise to stay away from this Company. I have given them every chance to rectify this small issue, but due to $97 that they apparently will not refund me, here it goes. On July 23rd I had Marvs come out to replace my existing 50 gallon water heater with a new 50 gallon water heater. The technician was scheduled to come out at 8am, so I took two hours off from work in order to be present for the work. The technician showed up an hour late at 9am and told me he had to go back to town to get everything he needed to do the job (I live 30+ minutes out of town). While he was gone, I finished disconnecting the water heater and pulled it out of the house myself to speed up the process. The technician showed up over an hour later. By this time, I had to get on a conference call which ended up lasting the entire installation time. While still working from home and on the conference call, the technician finished the install. Still being in the middle of the call, I briefly looked over the install, signed off on it, and wrote the check for the amount that was quoted (see attached invoice). Following my day’s work, I got to looking at the water heater and noticed that they installed a 40 gallon instead of the 50 gallon that was quoted to me. It even says they did on the invoice: Quoted 50 gallon, replaced 40 gallon. I called them the following day and was told that Chris Ivey would come out and personally swap the smaller water heater out for the right one. Knowing that getting them out again would be difficult, I told them that I would rather just pay the difference between the two water heaters, which Chris agreed to do once my check cleared. (see attached email string). Apparently, putting a check in the mail is also a difficult task. My check cleared on July 27th. Chris stopped answering my emails to check on the status of the $97. Its now been over a month since my check to them cleared. I called the office and a manager just told the clerk to just tell me that they will take care of it, but over a week later I still have no check. It’s really not worth taking to court, but it really shows what kind of business these people are running. Words don't put the money back in my pocket. Sure they are busy, but so am I. Sure they want to get paid right away, but so do I. I had them run an estimate to completely redo my HVAC system in the house as well. That's about $15,000 worth of business that they will not be getting now. All because of $97? I didn't want to write this and I told them that a negative review would cost them a lot more than $97, but I guess they don't care. Why do I care about the reputation of their company more than they do? So there you have it, the cost of finding out who not to do business with in the future. Hope this helps all of you. If they ever send me the money, I’ll update the review. Nevertheless, the lack of communication is still a problem. Just hope they don't need to fix an issue after they come out. The last email I sent to Chris was on August 14th with no response (see attached). For heating and cooling work, I’ve had great results from Brian Casey with Mr. B’s Heating and Cooling. I’ve also heard great things about Advanced Comfort Solutions. As far as plumbing is concerned, Merritt and Bull Ridge have treated me well in the past.
