The whole situation was horrible from plumbers showing up late to overpricing. There is a ton more but due to their contract, I'm not allowed to speak about the details. Do yourself a favor and find somebody else.

Unfortunately, I would advise to stay away from this Company. I have given them every chance to rectify this small issue, but due to $97 that they apparently will not refund me, here it goes. On July 23rd I had Marvs come out to replace my existing 50 gallon water heater with a new 50 gallon water heater. The technician was scheduled to come out at 8am, so I took two hours off from work in order to be present for the work. The technician showed up an hour late at 9am and told me he had to go back to town to get everything he needed to do the job (I live 30+ minutes out of town). While he was gone, I finished disconnecting the water heater and pulled it out of the house myself to speed up the process. The technician showed up over an hour later. By this time, I had to get on a conference call which ended up lasting the entire installation time. While still working from home and on the conference call, the technician finished the install. Still being in the middle of the call, I briefly looked over the install, signed off on it, and wrote the check for the amount that was quoted (see attached invoice). Following my day’s work, I got to looking at the water heater and noticed that they installed a 40 gallon instead of the 50 gallon that was quoted to me. It even says they did on the invoice: Quoted 50 gallon, replaced 40 gallon. I called them the following day and was told that Chris Ivey would come out and personally swap the smaller water heater out for the right one. Knowing that getting them out again would be difficult, I told them that I would rather just pay the difference between the two water heaters, which Chris agreed to do once my check cleared. (see attached email string). Apparently, putting a check in the mail is also a difficult task. My check cleared on July 27th. Chris stopped answering my emails to check on the status of the $97. Its now been over a month since my check to them cleared. I called the office and a manager just told the clerk to just tell me that they will take care of it, but over a week later I still have no check. It’s really not worth taking to court, but it really shows what kind of business these people are running. Words don't put the money back in my pocket. Sure they are busy, but so am I. Sure they want to get paid right away, but so do I. I had them run an estimate to completely redo my HVAC system in the house as well. That's about $15,000 worth of business that they will not be getting now. All because of $97? I didn't want to write this and I told them that a negative review would cost them a lot more than $97, but I guess they don't care. Why do I care about the reputation of their company more than they do? So there you have it, the cost of finding out who not to do business with in the future. Hope this helps all of you. If they ever send me the money, I’ll update the review. Nevertheless, the lack of communication is still a problem. Just hope they don't need to fix an issue after they come out. The last email I sent to Chris was on August 14th with no response (see attached). For heating and cooling work, I’ve had great results from Brian Casey with Mr. B’s Heating and Cooling. I’ve also heard great things about Advanced Comfort Solutions. As far as plumbing is concerned, Merritt and Bull Ridge have treated me well in the past.

My furnace wouldn't fire on the Friday of Xmas week-end. I called Marv's Plumbing for a service call, they showed up promptly, and spent 2.5 hrs screwing up the wiring and frying 2 transformers. I was told the furnace was too old to be repaired and that I would have to get a new one...(they could finance). Then they left us in the cold. After running to Walmart to buy 2 space heaters to try and stay warm over the very cold Xmas holiday, I called Martinez Plumbing. Eloy showed up first, and began the repairs but had other calls to go on. Then Lloyd came by to finish the work. By 5:30 my furnace was running fine. He had to re-wire everything Marv's loused up, and our furnace has been running fine since then. This review is not only a big Kudos to Lloyd and Martinez, but a big shout to avoid Marv's at all costs. Marv's charged me over $250 to shaft me, and Martinez was only slightly more to actually fix what Marv's screwed up. Pick anyone else.

Do not use these ppl. They are scam artists. They installed a sump pump in my crawl space summer of 2015. They provided quick service and charged 890 dollars. They told me I could call anytime for a checkup to make sure it was working properly. I called in summer of 2016 for a checkup as my crawl space had flooded again. They charged me 80 dollars to make sure it was working. Then it turned out that I needed to have another sump pump installed as my house was under contract for sale. This time I had my own sump pump. They charged 980 dollars this time. I asked how can the price be more since I'm providing my own pump. They told me it will cost more because they have go farther into the crawl space to install it. They knew I had no choice but to get it installed and didn't have time for other bids. Scam artists.

The plumber cancelled the first appointment because it was raining. Came the next week and replaced valve. He said he'd be back the following week to test it for leaks. He never called our showed. I turned the system on and it shots water out of a place that looks like it's missing a part. I called Marv's to get someone to fix it. The secretary asked for the name of the plumber. I didn't know it. Then asked for the date of service. I didn't know it. She gave a big sigh and said she'd have to go look for it. After she found the ticket she said she'd put me on the wait list or schedule me for the following week. I said I should be moved to front of the schedule since the job should have already been done and was their fault it wasn't done properly. She basically said take it or leave it. I haven't received bill yet.

I haven’t got the bill yet and so I don’t know what their charge is.  They’re just wonderful people.  I’ve never had anybody from Marv's come out.  They’re just great.  Their personality and honesty stood out to me.  They’ve been in business for years.  Their price is very fair.  I would absolutely use them again in the future if I needed to.

I had my sewer line back up on a late Saturday afternoon...it took a couple of calls to the answering service to get a call back. The reason I gave it a B rating on the punctuality.  The emergency crew called back to apologize...apparently they were slammed. They arrived  a couple of hours later. They snaked the sewer but their snake was not long enough. They were apologetic and said they would talk to to the owner so I was not charged. About an hour later their main sewer guy called and said he heard they could not fix it and offered to come over that night or in the morning. He was over the next morning by 9:00 a.m. it took them about 30 min and 123 feet of their 125 foot snake. I was only charged for the one visit. They were very concerned that they could not fix it initially and really seemed to go out of their way to make sure my issue was resolved.

They are a local company, and the job went very well. They did a great job, and the technician was great. They had to get someone to come and put a plug in, and that guy was great too. Their price was a little high. Their quality of work was fantastic, and they were here 15 minutes before they were supposed to. We have them coming back on Tuesday to do our sprinkler system.

Attempted to service hot water heater unfamiliar and untrained on brand charge me 5 hr labor that included 2hr drive back to shop for tool and pump that they should have had with them , also charged for trainee helper time who basically did nothing. Normal charge for setting one toilet is around $80 ,and 2 gal vinegar and a hour time watching the little pump not work half the time. I was overcharge $ 500 for nothing except talk of what they could door me I do nutlike paying someone to solo irate my business. I was to trusting and was taken advantage of buy not getting a firm estimate before letting them do any work.

They worked on two apartments. Changed a sink faucet in one, which I provided. They fixed a leak under a kitchen sink and in the bathroom in the other unit. Marv's sent 2 people to work on the units, which was nice. I have used them for many jobs and will continue to use them in the future.
