We called Grogg's Heating and Air Conditioning. They said it would cost a little extra because they would have to call someone out since it was 4th of July weekend.. We said that was fine. Within four hours the technician showed up and replaced the fan. The air conditioning has worked fine ever since.

They always contact us before they come, they identify themselves very clearly when they arrive, and they also use shoe covers when they enter your home. We appreciate how dependable they've been, and we just really like their services!

The repair was done by the Clarksburg location. The technician diagnosed the problem and stated the part which was manafactured in 2013 was under warranty. The part was approxomately $500 it was made clear if the part in fact was not under warranty we did want the repair done and wanted to instead look to purcase a new furnace since it was 13 years old. The technician stated our cost would only be $200-300 for installation and a service call. A different technician came and installed the repair part a few days later. He promply handed my wife a $603 dollar bill. My wife immediately questioned the bill and the technician noted it in the remarks. The next day a manager called and the details of the repair were spoken with her. She stated that if we agreed to purchase a new furnace thru her company that the bill would be taken care and the part would be returned to the manafacturer. The manager also stated the original technician stated he never said the part was under under warranty which was a total lie (we had know expectation that any of the parts would be under a warranty due to the age of the furnace so how would we know that if he didn't say it??). I followed up today with the manager and basically got the "we tried in good faith run around". I elected to purchase another furnace with a different company and advised the manger the way this was handled cost them a sell on a new furnace and a customer for good. She also stated that only if I purchased a new furnace thru them would the bill be taken care of. I have spoke with some of my neighbors who said they have had similar issues with this company & no longer use them.The technicians are competent and the office staff are friendly but I would not recommend this company due to their lack of honesty.

"There was a misunderstanding between the technician and the homeowner regarding the warranty of the part for the furnace. The homeowner immediately called upon receiving the bill and stated that if they would have know that the part was not covered, they would just have replaced the furnace. Based on that statement, our office then offered to either return and remove the part (at which time the homeowner would not have to pay the invoice) or we could have someone come to the home and give them a quote on replacing the furnace. They elected to have someone come to the home to give them a Free In-Home Consultation on replacing the furnace. The customer then waited over three weeks to tell us that they were having another company replace their furnace and they would not be paying our invoice for the service call or the gas valve. At this point we have diagnosed a problem, returned to install a gas valve, and given them a quote per their request; and have received zero compensation from them."

One person came in and said that something on my electrical box needed to be turned off. Then someone came in and said that this needed to be turned on. They did fix the issue after selling me a bunch of things including a new thermostat. They were training someone and he found a wire that had been cut by my weed whacker. They put some electrical tape on it and it worked fine. They sold me a "gold warranty package" for $200.00. I called them to get annual maintenance and they told me that it was only good for one year. They said good luck as they left, which actually made me cry.
