We just moved to Bruceton Mills from Florida in January. 2025! The inside of our home needed painted, kitchen cabinets refinished and a minor leak in our roof! Our Realtor recommend that we contact John Stayley at Barclay Construction! That was the start of the best home improvements we have ever experienced and all the work was reasonably priced! Robert and his team did an awesome job painting the inside of our home. They were highly skilled, professional and a delight to work with! They made our home look brand new! Brenly was the cabinet expert! He hand sanded all the kitchen cabinet and refinished them, they are beautiful! Brenly worked for a solid week from 7:00-5:00 through the weekend to get the job completed! Caleb came out and fixed a minor leak in our roof! There are not enough stars to evaluate the stellar job that these folks achieved! If I ever need something done in my house, hands down, I will call John! We enjoyed an amazing experience from start to finish! Thank You!

John and Caleb did our bathroom remodel, we are very happy with the work and recommend them. Communication was quick and easy, they arrived on time, and any construction mess was cleared up at the end of each day. A very positive experience - thank you.

When we reached out for an estimate - John was here the next day and we got the process started. We encountered a few delays that were out of our control, but John was there to update us every step of the way. I would recommend this company to anyone. 10/10. Also, Ramey is an absolute rockstar!

John and his worker, Ramy, did a great job with a complicated major renovation project that completely gutted two adjacent rooms (Master Bath and Laundry/Half Bath), rearranged the walls, plumbing, and wiring in order to create a beautiful and much more efficient space than what we had before. The project included pocket doors, barn doors, a shower, vanity, creating new closets, installing cabinets, removing a window and stacking a washer/dryer. We couldn't be happier with the work. The crew was very professional throughout the project and proactively contacted us to discuss issues that would inevitably come up regarding the design or just having to take care of sick kids. I would not hesitate to hire them again and highly recommend them for any remodeling projects.

Fast and Efficient work. Quite professional and open to reasonable requests for modifications. Replaced full deck and quoted significantly better than alternatives for the same request.

We discovered several terrible places in our drywall tape the day before our painter was scheduled to begin. Barclay responded quickly and had a third generation drywall guy in the job within 24 hours! We got professional results before the painter got to the area that needed painted. He also helped remove some tack strips and repaired the holes from that as well. I would highly recommend Barclay construction.

Barclay Construction did a fantastic job staining my front and back decks. They are nice and friendly and will communicate with you every step of the way on your project.

I was in a sticky situation. My contractor was unprofessional and was overcharging. John stepped in and worked out a reasonable price. His worker Aaron was respectful and lovely to deal with. I live a little far from Morgantown WV. It was part of the contract for me to always be second, but the job got done. I would recommend. John and Arron were very nice to work with

They did a great job with our complete bathroom remodel, the job did take longer than expected but the quality of the work was great.

The service was amazing They made sure it was done in such a short time notice. Their worker worked on Christmas Eve and we greatly appreciate the hard work and thoroughness they put in.

John is great - Have always been a reliable customer. There are not a lot of contractors who do a good job and follow the scope of work well, but John does just that. Great group and will continue to utilize them for my painting projects

This company is great. They're local, professional, and uniquely responsive to calls and texts. Barclay painted the exterior of my house and also added a deck. The entire experience was stress-free, which isn't always the case when hiring out big jobs. I think I've finally found my go-to company for big home-improvement projects.
