Mr. Electric of Charleston

I recently purchased a house in another state before relocation. Our house inspection provided us with a clear indication of several pressing needs, including an extensive list of electrical issues and needs. These electrical concerns were one of two priority items that required our immediate attention. I reached out to several possible electricians but quickly found Mr. Electric of Charleston to be the most responsive, engaging, and professional. More specifically, Delores worked with me to coordinate the various needs and schedule accordingly with my sporadic schedule in and out of state. She reviewed a copy of the home inspection with the owner(s) before a technician was onsite and then coordinated their team in response. I was eager to have the work completed but the first step was to obtain a quote that I could be comfortable with. Delores scheduled technicians to come out when I was on site and then tentatively booked time for the work (an estimated three days of needs for everything). She confirmed everything beforehand. I also received another confirmation call the week of the work and one the morning when technicians were on their way. Brody and Jared arrived as expected. Both were very professional, kind, and very agreeable throughout the experience. Initially working on the quote, Brody presented the findings and the estimate. Brody was respectful in presentation and delivery and quickly offered time to think about it without pressure. I am sure they expected me to get back to them in time, but I confirmed I wanted to proceed. Without specifics, I can only convey that the price was more than fair. I was thankful! Brody confirmed their status with their office and quickly began work. Both he and Jared returned the next two days to complete the project. I was very happy with them both and pleased they were assigned to us. No work order changes, or unexpected costs arose, and all tasks were completed successfully. Very professional, courteous, and efficient

This is my second time using the services of Mr. Electric of Charleston West Virginia. First time was back in March/April time frame of 2021 after the MAJOR ice storm we had here in WV. Ryan, the Electrician that came out then, was fantastic! He was very polite and extremely helpful in restoring electrical service to my garage. I have a separate service to my garage and another service to my house. This time, I am preparing to sell my house and detected a problem with some receptacles showing an "open ground" and knowing this would not pass a house inspection, I contacted Mr. Electric to correct the problem so house inspection would pass with "flying color's". The electrician that came this time was Brody. Again, he was VERY respectful and polite and researched what the issue is and said that it can be corrected fairly easily and proceeded to perform the FREE "Home electrical safety checkup" After completing that, he worked up the estimate for accomplishing the repairs I needed. Brody also recommended the "Advantage Plan" that is offered through Mr. Electric and explained what all is covered. Although the work has not been completed at the time that I am filling out this review, I am extremely confident that all will be addressed and taken care of with no issues. I also want to say that the lady at the office that handles all the administrative aspect of this business is fantastic also. She will go out of her way to help anyone that utilizes Mr. Electric. THANK YOU, Mr. Electric, for having the employees that you do.

They installed a 30A generator plug outside garage wall. While installing 30A breaker, they had to rearrange the other breakers to install an Interlock kit to assure safety. Communication was very good with office on parts ordering and scheduling techs. The techs brought all the parts that they need for the install. I didnâ t have to run around to stores to make sure I had the correct parts. They stayed while we tested the breaker and plug with generator to make sure everything was right before leaving. I was able to pay them through a tablet that the techs had with them that made it very convenient. I had them quote me some other jobs too. I would definitely recommend them for electrical work that you need done around the house and done correctly. They even tested my bathroom outlets to see if they were GFI compliant. They are very professional and friendly with recommendations.

Very knowledgeable and courteous...would have them back

I have had problems finding a qualified electrician to do some small jobs. I searched for an electrician near me and saw that they are located in Hurricane. I remembered seeing their truck in the area and gave them a call. I described the job and they came the next morning to give me an estimate. I accepted and my repair was completed in 2 hours. Based on this experience, I recommend them.

Good friendly workers who were knowledgeable and diagnosed the issue and fixed it within a couple hours. ( I had one room without electricity and we couldnâ  t figure out why.) Iâ  m glad we called Mr. Electric. I will use them again.
