Terminix - Charleston -Termite & Pest Control

I have been using Termix for quite a while.  They do outside baiting and also provide inside services.  The inside care is $40 and the outside baiting system is an annual fee of $350.  The serviceman is good and I can depend on them.  I feel the price is getting high for the inside service and I am thinking about terminating that.  I will continue to use them for the outside baiting services. 

They do a good job. We would probably use them again.

I never knew when they were coming; they would leave a notification that they had been here when they did come, and I paid them and then they just stopped coming.  I called them many times but they wouldn’t return my calls, and finally I just quit.  Their sales person that came was very nice.  They did offer us discounts but what they did was they did not honor that.  The lady in their office that I talked to was very disagreeable; she said she wouldn’t honor anything that the sales person had said.  I would use them again in the future only if I had to.

They have been good about notifying us when they are going to come.  We do have pets, so they make it a point to warn us that for 24 hours the dogs shouldn’t lick the foundation.  I have no complaints with the quality of their work.  I would use their services again in the future.

I didn't know they were coming out or I would have had them spray both inside and out.  They come out quarterly.  The first visit, they sprayed both in and out.  They worked around my schedule.  The technician was very professional.  The product they use works well.

I'll stay away from them.  They came in and were supposedly doing an insect review.  They told us that they would insure we would have no insects, ants and termites.  After they came and sprayed around the house we noticed that we still had carpenter ants.  We talked to them about it; the guy came by again and sprayed.  It didn't do any good so he then finally came by and said that he couldn't do anything because they were coming from the next door neighbor area.  They guaranteed that they would remove these problems and that it would not reoccur.  We ended up getting our money back from what we paid them already but what's the use of guaranteeing that they are going remove your problems.  They did it twice but still the ants were coming in across the fence line from the next door neighbor's area and crawling up to the house.

The pricing has really climbed.  They are as good as any as far as I can tell.  They come by when they said they will.  They are just professional.

They could not be bothered to inspect my new home.  How do they stay in business?

My problem with ants went away immediatly.  I am still having minor issues with spiders and centipedes, but overall it is much better.  They missed two appointments, two days in a row and a manger was supposed to call me but never did.  I will use them again in a follow apoointment and see if the customer service gets better.  The technicians are great.  Very friendly and professional, however I believe there is a communication breakdown between the corporate office and the field offices.

They didn’t do a very good job. They had several people out and each time they came, they did it differently and I still saw bugs. I started spraying myself. I used to spend $90 every three months. They came out at different times they said they were going to come out and they didn’t come out. I was fed up with them. I had an annual contract with them and as soon as the contract was up I stopped using them. They were priced as everybody else. I would not use them again in the future.

3 attempts to get someone her to treat the house (the first two showed up without a ladder even though I told the folks at the call center they would need one to access the attic space and outside of the house - told them it was three stories and they didn't feel it was necessary to share w/ the technicians) The third was a 'manager' and I sent him home as well, again..no ladder. He told me he would be here the next day at 11AM..he was here at 10:55 - finally something right! He showed up, spent over two hours inspecting and treating the house. Explained what he did and what to expect - good job! Then I got the 'contract' after bring quoted $160 for the initial service, the invoice was for $210, after being quoted $80/quarter, the contract stated $99/month! I made the changes on the contract and had the tech initial the changes..Obviously they expect customers to NOT look at what they are signing.....Very deceptive!

They were great! I would highly recommend them for excellent work. They also charged a very good price.
