I placed my order for a birthday flower arrangement online, but also called the florist shop directly to make sure my order had come through to them and discuss flower colors, ect. I specified that I would like the arrangement to be bright and colorful. We went over delivery date, ect. The person I spoke to was very friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. They answered all of my questions. My arrangement was to be delivered to my loved one’s work place, this was done. The arrangement is beautiful and I’m a happy customer.
Description of Work: I needed a bouquet (vase) of birthday flowers made/delivered for my granddaughter’s birthday

Absolute worst retail experience I have had in my life. How in the world do people such as this and with this attitude toward their customers stay in business?
Description of Work: Ordered a balloon arrangement for my husband on Saturday for Valentines Day and paid extra for same day delivery. This company was the delivering florist. They called at 12 20 and asked would I be home this afternoon and wanted to know my location. I told them I would be home. I called back at 3 pm and inquired about the delivery and he said, is he not there yet, he should be anytime now. Husband called back at 4 pm and the guy was really smart to him on the phone and said he would have the delivery person call me. She called at 425 pm and said she had to make a run to Fayette county and was leaving Oak Hill right now and coming straight to my house and I would be the next delivery. 8 pm and no delivery. 10 pm and no delivery. Midnight and no delivery. Called the company that the order was originally placed with and they cancelled the order and refunded my credit card and apologized. Sunday morning at 9am the person I originally spoke to at the florist shop in Beckley called and said, sorry your order didn't get delivered , I interrupted him and told him to forget it, the order has been cancelled. He said thank you really fast and hung up the phone.

These are the facts concerning this order: [Member Name Removed] place her order with From you Flowers (an internet gathering service) from New York, that operates zero flower shops in the world. The order came to my shop and I was to be paid 34.49. The order was filled and sent out for delivery. Her husband called in the afternoon and asked if "I expected him to wait all day for this arrangement," I said no, and explained our policy was to call and verify someone would be home and not guarantee a time. At that time I called my driver who was in Fayette county 26 miles from Mr [Member Name Removed] and told her to go straight there from her last delivery which she was finishing up at that time. At 5:08 she came back to the store and I inquired about Mr [Member Name Removed] delivery, she said she still had it. I told her as I and another person loaded my vehicle with other deliveries in the area, to go there first. I have been doing this for more than 20 years and I know how long it takes to get to Old Mill Village, I grew up there. Approximately 10 minutes. At 7:30 I began calling and texting my driver with no response. I started calling the deliveries from last to first to try and locate her. I found her, and after threatening to report my vehicle stolen, I received it back at 9:00 pm. Arrangements ruined and Mr [Member Name Removed] bear wet. The next morning I came to work at 8 am for what is supposed to be my busiest day of the year and started remaking the orders that were messed up from the previous day. I then started to call those folks and attempt to get those arrangements out for the holiday. While I was on the telephone with Mrs. [Member Name Removed], I received a call that my house was on fire. Had she not "interrupted me". I could have put someone else on the telephone to hear her complaint. She complained to the wire gatherer that took her money, and I gladly told them to refund her money. This store has been in business since 1918 and I have operated it since 1994. Mrs [Member Name Removed] has never ordered from me, and I operate two floral websites for this area. She could have called us or placed an order online directly with us. She chose not to. The wire gather gives us no information on the sender as they are afraid we would take their customer or market to them if we had this information. I had no way of contacting the sender(Mrs [Member Name Removed]) because from the order I don't know she is the person that sent the order. All I know is that someone named Joy sent it. In closing I tried to be as prepared as I could for this holiday, generally we have 1 or 2 people in the store but for a holiday like this I had 7. Maybe Mrs [Member Name Removed] isn't aware of how hard trying to find quality help is like in this area where the addiction crisis is worse than epidemic. In closing, I fired this delivery person [Member Name Removed], my house burned to the ground, and you may verify that by looking at the newspaper or news from Beckley on Valentine's day, and a friend died in the fire. I try to listen to people and resolve issues when possible because you never know what someone else circumstance is. I wish Mrs [Member Name Removed] the best of luck in the future and hope that she locates a local florist that she is happy with

The basket contained: 4 bruised, red ?delicious? apples and 4 dry thin-skinned oranges - cheap fruit, cheap candy (Halloween sized 3-musketeers bars) and 6 loose Lipton teabags. When I called to lodge a complaint the person answering the phone said ?sorry? that was it, no real apology nor offer to make a more appropriate presentation. When I said ?under the circumstances I cannot recommend your service?, the reply was ?That?s your prerogative. Good day? hung-up.
Description of Work: First the gift basket was delivered to the wrong address. Second, the basket had bruised cheap fruit and cheap candy (Halloween sized 3-musketeers bars) and 6 loose Lipton teabags.

I ordered flowers from a website and they were the local florist to fulfill the order. The order was cheaply put together looked nothing like the picture. I decided to give him the opportunity to fix the problem so I called him first. He was very rude and wouldn't help. I had to call the website to get replacement flowers.

(removed member name) placed an order through 1-800 flowers for her mother's birthday. The arrangement was filled and delivered. The recipeint her mother as very happy with the "beautiful " arrangement. Heather the sender called to complain. I explained that she had ordered a recipe arrangement, and that I was more than glad to exchange it, but it would not contain more flowers than the recipe called for. She was not happy with that solution. I offered to send another arrangement of comperable value. She didn't want that. I offered to pick up her arrangement and cancel so that she would have a refund of her money. That as not acceptable. In our opionin she wanted a 75.00 arrangement for 39.99 which is what she paid to 1-800-flowers for her mothers birthday arrangement. This order was filled on 8/16/13 and this message is mad on 8/19/13. Our policy is to Always accomodate the customer when allowed, some people cannot be made happy.

The flowers came in a timely fashion and the delivery man was very friendly,but I doubt that it looked much like the picture.Some of the flowers were wilted and I am sure it was not worth the cost. Try Bessie's Floral in Oak Hill. They will deliver to Beckley.

(removed member name) is compalining about a recipe arrangement that someone purchased for her. She paid nothing for the arrangement. She made no complaint to us. Our policy is to exchange any arrangement a customer is not happy with. She is guessing about what was paid for the order, and what it was supposed to be as she didn't place the order.

They sent the arrangement on time. That is the only thing they did well. They sent an arrangement that was worth only about $50 and it contained whatever flowers they wanted it to. The lilies were yellow not white. When we called them to question they advised that they had special ordered those lilies and that there were a dozen white roses (there were only 10) and a lot of daises. They were very nasty on the phone and said if we were not happy that they would cancel the order and go and remove the arrangement from the church. This all was happening about 30 minutes before the services were to begin. I would never ever use this florist again. I don't know if they thought they could get away with what they did because I am in NY and would not be able to attend but I am expecting them to represent me with the arrangement that I wanted and they did not do that. They did not even apologize.
Description of Work: I requested a white sympathy floral arrangement on a stand that was worth $100.00 to be delivered for a funeral service at a church nearby them.

(removed member name) placed an order through the wire service, which was delivered to us to fill. The order reads all white flowers. In her review she stated that she didn't see the order so she is relying on the word of someone else for a description of what was sent. I knew the deceased (Mr Parsons) and certainly would not have filled the order and sent it out knowing that someone would be offended. In times of sorrow, peoples emotions sometimes are not what they would be at other times. (removed member name) placed this review the next day after the funeral. If the arrangement was so important, why did she not pick up the telephone and place the order with any local Beckley florist and find out the availability of flowers (colors and kinds)? In closing she was not my customer (no money traded her hands to ours). She placed the order through someone else so offering a refund of anykind was not possible. She has no way of knowing what we were instructed to do. She rates our punctuality as a c when she clearly admits the order ws delivered prior to the visitation(even though she was not there to see it). In closing we would have been glad to accomodate her had she called us to place the order, and any florist will tell you that a dozen roses arranged in any sympathy arrangement would be at least 60.00 and lilies are more expensive than roses. We feel that the arrangement was filled to value.
