Went very well from estimate to finish. Rob was quick to come over to provide the estimate, and started project within a few days after we accepted the quote. Our final bill reflected the quote exactly. Rob and his crew finished the project in 3 1/2 days. They were very careful not to damage yard and other plants near the work area. Always cleaned up the debris before they left and kept us informed each day on the progress. We heartily recommend Spahn Manning!

They only put about half-effort into the job. They seemed to be competent and all. I wanted them to remove the dirt completely before they started work. They didn't take very much dirt out of the space. They mounded everything up, so the rocks are rolling out over my sidewalk.

The contractor set up an appointment for 3pm, then called and said 4pm, then called and said he wouldn't be able to make it that day. I said "cancel" the estimate. There are many better contractors on Angies list than someone who can't even keep an appointment. Business must be better than I thought in this economy.

The work that they did was very satisfactory. They were very cooperative and open to any of our suggestions. They did what they said they were going to do for the price that they said that they were going to do it. They also did in the time frame specified and I couldn?t ask for more. The price that they charged was excellent. I would definitely use their services in the future too.

We decided to go with Robb after getting quotes from other contractors. The work took a few days due to he weather. It looks great. He and his employee worked hard and were very professional about everything. We ae very pleased.

Went very well; finished on time, no delays even though we changed plans during the execution of the job. The fence we had planned was being questioned by the village of bayside, the village board couldn't agree on what they felt was appropriate or within their guidelines. Spahn/Manning recommended arbor vitae which they had in stock. Two years later the arbor vitae are healthy and growing as is the entire yard.

They were very good and fared quite well against the other three estimates (lowest). We chose to go ahead with the middle bid based on the fact that we chose a wet-set walkway vs dry-set. Additionally, the other landscaper provided drawings that helped us conceptualize things better. Spahn-Manning let us know up front that they do not provide drawings and that was okay with us.

Robb answered the phone immediately. Came over within an hour and quoted the patio. Also gave useful advice regarding another issue (neighbor owned retaining wall). Quoted 4.6.208. Due to rain and previous job work was started 4.18.08 and was finished 4.21.08. Robb and 2 employees installed the patio. They were courteous, polite and efficient. Cleaned up both days. The patio is absolutely beautiful. We were so impressed by Spahn-Manning's work that we had him quote a new retaining wall and accepted the quote. This company is definitely professional and knows the importance of customer service and quality of work.

Rob and his team are great. We recieved an estimate within days, which was considerably cheaper than other companies. They completed the job in 1 1/2 days and cleaned up nicely. His team were very nice men. Everyone compliments us on our terrace.

Rob fit me right in just days after the job was agreed on. His price seemed in line with other quotes. He also was able to install the patio with 2 different shade blocks in a geometric pattern I designed for no additional cost. Two days later I had a beautiful patio. My patio was done with Unilock stones which have a good warranty but I believe he works with other brands or materials.
