Great.Chris Jordan was easy to work with and communicated well, and his team did a good job installing the windows.  His wasn't the cheapest estimate we got, but it was within our budget, he had good reviews here, and we felt the most comfortable with him.
On Saturday, October 19 we accepted a quote on the windows and they measured for the windows.  It took the manufacturer about three weeks to get the windows here, and Chris's team installed them a few days later.  They showed up when they said they would, and they left the job site in perfect shape; other than the new windows, there was no sign they'd been there at all.
The windows vinyl double hung and are in the Innovation series.  They're significantly nicer than some other replacement windows that were installed before we got the house.
Up to a certain size, there was a fixed price per window of $545, including installation.  There's a $60 Angie's List discount if you get at least five windows, and we paid an extra $20 per window to get screens that are the full height of the windows (so you can open the top as well as the bottom).
All in all, the job went exactly as we hoped it would.  We're planning to replace the windows in the other apartment unit and will definitely go with Chris again.

Great windows at a very good price.  The work was done very professionally and with excellent clean up.  They were are very easy to deal with - not a lot of fluff-talk during the quoting process, and they responded to email and phone questions quickly.  I was extremely pleased with the installation and it was a very nice upgrade for my home. I would definitely use them again.

Jordon was great!  Even though he doesn't work on commercial windows he told me it was just the beading and offered to push it back into place at no cost.  He really took the worry I had that the windows were failing and made the extra effort to give me peace of mind.  If I ever have a residential project - he's got the job!  Thanks Jordon.

I submitted an online request for an estimate on his website and Chris responded immediately by e-mail. He came out promptly, was flexible with my work schedule and answered questions honestly.  He took measurements and e-mailed an estimate within a few days.  The estimate was less than other 4 estimates and I was given a discount for using Angie's List.  When I confirmed that I would like to go ahead with the job he brought out one of his workers to take measurements again and I was told windows would come in a month.  The windows came early and they were installed within about 3 weeks.  Chris then came out to show me how the windows work.  He went the extra mile to make sure that I was happy when I wanted to make a change after they were installed due to an oversight on my part.  He agreed to do this at no charge when he installs the second half of the windows.  From start to finish, Chris was very nice to work with, professional and courteous.  I'll definitely call him to install the second half of my windows and entry door replacement and refer him to others.

The initial installation was really great - all the windows (and door) were removed and replaced, yet there was no trace of debris or trash inside or outside the house from the installation. The Amish team that did the work were great guys, had impeccable manners and very thorough. Chris took the role of site manager and worked with my wife and I to check our preferences and to set our expectations. The installation was a job well done and we were delighted with the result.
When Chris committed to replace the sliding door at his cost we were really impressed and very appreciative. The final result has been great. The problematic door is gone and we have a replacement door that looks great and works perfectly.
I did not know Chris Jordan before calling him for an estimate for window and door replacement. He was not referred to me as a trusted word of mouth get it done at a good price guy so I have no personal interest in endorsing his work. I have not been paid anything for these comments here or elsewhere.
Unless of course his performance deserves endorsement!
Based on my personal experience, I highly recommend, endorse and praise Jordan Exteriors because they went the extra mile to make the $8,000 we invested in our house meaningful and valuable. Chris looked after us and stood by his work.
What more can any of us ask from any contractor?
I am so delighted - I am happy to endorse his work. My cell number is Six 0 Eight 334 Four 012
Thanks for reading.

"I don't know what to say but a heartfelt thank you to [member name removed] and his family. It is a shame that a recognized multi million dollar company won't stand by their product but we could not and would not let our customer suffer as a result and it was a pleasure working for [member name removed] and his family. We believe that we must have a standard of ethics that goes beyond monetary income and when problems arise as a result of our reccomendations we must make it good. Needless to say we do not use the patio door company anymore and our supplier has since dropped their products as the Patio door company does not meet our standards. regards Chris Jordan"

To start with, I've waited 8 months to write this review because it's easy to be thrilled when something is brand-new, so I waited while I tested the windows through summer storms and now part of the winter, when we've had some good cold days to test how well the windows keep the cold out.  I am happy to say that I am still thrilled with our new windows and Jordan Exteriors.
I had worked with Chris Jordan before (with Rodriguez Quality Roofing) and liked him alot, so when he came in with a good offer for the windows, I was glad.  Prior to actually deciding to replace the windows, I had done a lot of research on window brands on the Internet and had decided I liked Innovations windows.  Imagine my delight to discover this was the brand of windows Chris recommended as well.  He had no idea I already had a preference.  But, of course, I am never that easy.  The company doesn't have a lot of detailed information on their website (certainly not enough for me, who usually likes to download manufacturer's installation and repair manuals for everything), so he tracked down what he could for me.  He also had some sample windows so I could open and close them and poke around them for myself.  I am not very strong and I'm very short, so it was important to me that these be windows that I could easily move by myself and tilt out for cleaning.  I have lived in places where I had a hard time with windows that my husband and friends could handle fine.  I started asking about the windows in November (I always plan many months in advance) and Chris was figuring out how to be ready in December or January.  Talk about prompt!  However, I wanted to wait until March.  Chris was fine with that - no pressure for me to get it done on any schedule other than my own.
The people he has doing the windows are a very pleasant, polite, and prompt bunch.  I was surprised at how little I had to move out of the way for them ahead of time.  They didn't mar any of the window casings and they did a great job of cleaning up after themselves.  They got the double-hung and awning windows done in one day!  When something looked odd in the window, Chris checked it out and was going to fix it or replace it, but it fixed itself in a day (the weather stripping had been bent in shipping somehow, but it straightened out on its own once it got to room temperature in my house).
The big bay windows were scheduled for a different day because those required a lot more work to install. The old ones had to be removed to the studs.  I had taken down the casings for the living room windows because they were stained walnut color (40 years ago) and our current wood floors are honey oak color.  My husband wanted casings to match the floor and baseboards, and I agreed.  I mentioned this to Chris and one of his workers only to explain why the casings were missing when they came to do a final measure for the windows.  They offered to bring the same type and size of oak casing to replace the other ones.  They would have finished them, too, but I wanted to do them myself at the same time I stained the bay window top and bottom so they would match for sure.  And I'm anal-retentive.  :)  And I always put more coats of polyurethane on than anybody else and I didn't want to be any more inconvenient than I already was.  When they arrived to install the bay windows, they had brought the oak casing.  When I put them up after staining and my three coats of polyurethane (including on the back), they fit just right.  I had assumed there would be a charge for this, but there wasn't.  That was a *very* nice thing they did for me, saving me the trouble of doing it myself (I have done casings before for windows and doors, so I know how, but it is inconvenient).
Chris Jordan has checked back with me to see if I'm satisfied with the windows, and I certainly am!  The only quibble I have is with the manufacturer of the windows, *not* with Chris or his crew.  When the company manufactures the bay windows and you want wood for the top and bottom "shelf" areas, they put oak veneer on, which is nice, but they don't also put veneer over the front-facing edges, so you see the plywood and insulation layers.  That would be fine, because most of it is covered by the window casing (which is why you have casing to begin with).  However, window casing is always offset  from the inside edge of the window by some small amount (the "reveal"), like 1/8 of an inch, so you can still see the edge of the plywood.  I'm sure nobody would ever notice it but me.  My husband certainly didn't notice.  Yes, I'm picky.  I know it.  So, what I did was take oak veneer and apply it to the front edges (and stain it to match) before putting the casing on.  I mentioned I had done this to Chris, and he asked me if I would mind if he contacted the manufacturer about it.  I was impressed that Chris followed up on this remark I had made (not intending to ask him to do anything about it, just a remark about the manufacturer, that's all).
So, at the end of this long novel, I am quite happy with Chris Jordan and Jordan Exteriors!  My house's exteriors are pretty much done for a while (roof and windows).  It's going to take me a long while to save up for replacing our old deck.  Too bad he doesn't do interiors.  Hmmmm, I wonder if he does security storm doors...

We enjoyed working with this company.  We had one patio door that leaked (20 years old) and decided to replace both of them. We had several companies out to evaluate and decided to go with Jordan Exteriors.  Chris was very good at answering our questions and providing follow up information.  The quote was competitive and the final bill mirrored the quote.  The time frame for getting the doors was accurate. The crew that installed the doors did an excellent job, putting in both doors in a 1/2 day. They were professional, friendly, and efficient.

It went very well.  The workers were pleasant and efficient, tidy.  Chris was nice to work with--professional and fair.  The awning windows look beautiful from the inside in our 60 year old house.  The trim color outside matched the exterior paint.  We were very happy that they worked carefully to repair the fascia board without necessitating the removal/replacement of gutters.  Chris and his crew did everything they could to provide the best service and product for a fair price.

a faJordan Exteriors did a great job under trying circumstances, with a level of patience and responsiveness that was simply remarkable. Our particular situation was unusually complicated because we were out-of-town when the job was started, it was a period of uncommon rain frequency and we had a wish to have it completed before visitors arriving approximately 3 weeks later.  Despite these complications, the job was completed on time and with a quality that we expected, and more.  Chris was very responsive to our wishes, always (say 95% of the time) responded to our frequent phone calls (all to do with the balcony railing contractor) and the coordination of the windows/door with the siding wrapping.   I should note that I was on-site for a fair amount of the work (about 30%) and was impressed with the efficiency, care and attitudes of the workers.
Jordan Exteriors is a company I will recommend to my friends and continue to use for any work in their areas of expertise.

Chris strongly recommended his door company, HGI Entry Doors.  HGI is a family owned business in Indiana that is partnered with the local Amish community... the doors are built by Amish craftspeople in the manufacturing facility... Built in the USA.
I was interested in a real wood door, but knew the pitfalls in the Midwest with climate fluctuations... HGI have steel or fiberglass doors available with a wood grain finish.  I was skeptical how they would look in real life... the last thing I wanted was cheap looking doors because I wanted them to look like wood... if they were going to look cheap I'd have rather done a simple painted steel door.
When I raised my concern to Chris he acted like it was no problem at all... one phone call and a week later and I had a physical sample of the wood finish available... Chris gets it done and I ordered the doors with the wood grain finish.
The doors took exactly 6 weeks, as Chris had said... they were at my house and installed within 2 days of arrival to Chris' team.
We decided on one each... front door in Craftsman Series Fiberglass with Walnut Finish and rear door in Half-Lite Steel Door in walnut finish.  This is important... both doors have been mistaken for real wood by multiple people, including sub-contractors!
Dan and Lester were at our house for only one day and installed both doors... Amish craftsman are the best to deal with... they complete the work as if it is their own home.  They left the area around their workspace in better condition than when they arrived and the quality of their work is obvious.
I was crossing my fingers the doors would meet my expectations... they have exceeded what I thought was possible for a faux wood door... I'd do it exactly the same way all over again if given the option.
If you want to invest in your home and not throw money away on contractors that don't have your best interests in mind... call Chris Jordan.
If you want to be jerked around and taken advantage of..... Chris is not your guy... he's a pro.
Thanks Chris!

Simple..... Chris gets it done!  I met Chris through a chance encounter and, in discussion, learned of his business... it just so happened I was in the beginning stages of replacing siding and doors.  Inside of 15 mins of discussion, it was obvious he was one of the few Contractors who does what he says.  We scheduled an estimate for the following week... naturally, he arrived early for the appointment... first impressions matter, but this reinforced everything I'd picked up on by him being prompt... second impressions seal the deal.  I told him I'd be getting three bids for the work to keep everyone honest... he was so confident in what he could provide, this didn't even phase him.
Chris's bid came to my email within 48 hours... I wish I could say the same from the other two contractors (both of which are on Angie's List... to be fair, I'll keep their names private), though each took nearly 2 weeks to receive their estimates.  My impression is that when you're a professional, you can come up with an estimate in a matter of hours, which is exactly what Chris did.
Let me reinforce how superior Chris is with respect to his responsiveness..... HIS WIFE WAS LITERALLY IN LABOR WITH THEIR SECOND CHILD AND I HAD HIS ESTIMATE WITHIN 48 HOURS!  WHILE SHE WAS IN LABOR!!
Early to the first appointment and beat his competition by over a week and his wife is in Labor..... again, Chris gets it done!
Arturo and his siding crew are meticulous... as Chris puts it, "he's an artist."  Arturo came by with Chris for a consultation before starting the work to make sure the end result was exactly as Chris and I had spoke of.  When Arturo arrived to complete the work, they were in and out in less time than estimated... they taped all the insulation seams and caulked around all windows...  every single piece of debris from the job was picked up and removed from the jobsite, down to the last nail... they even picked up and removed debris that was not part of the work they'd done.  It's very apparent, they take great pride in their reputation!  As Arturo put it..... "we're here until it's done."  It seemed I wasn't just paying them for their time to be there... I was paying for their work until the job was complete.
The work is done and has exceeded my expectations... they get it done!

I love my new home! Chris was the dream contractor: he was prompt, professional and considerate to the many special requests I had regarding the project. Chris has created a company that prides itself on craftsmanship. I have done many construction projects as a laborer in my college days and I can recognize quality work, which they delivered. Arturo is the foreman of the siding crew and they were amazing. They did a complete cleanup of the yard after each day and worked through some less than desirable weather to keep the project moving. There were many finishing touches done on the house that I didn't even know I needed because that's what happens when you have people who take pride in their work.
As I said, I love my new home. I didn't expect to walk away with new friends from a siding project.

Chris Jordan first came and gave us an estimate immediately picking up on the fact that we wanted a quality window, but had budget limitations. He answered our questions, windows came ahead of schedule and were installed in less than a day by his Amish crew. We are very happy with the work done, how well his friendly crew cleaned up when finished. They even fixed the latch on our sliding deck door. The only problem we have noticed with the windows is when we push the bottom window down to close, the top section sometimes slides down slightly preventing locking. Chris told us that lowering it slowly is the way to go but it will ease up in time once the insulation bar settles

I wanted to replace one basement window, as the frame was rotted.  There were some communication issues initially, but once we connected, he came out right away and explained all my options, including showing me what the new vent for the window might look like by finding some of my neighbors that had a similar set-up.  He was courteous throughout, and very detailed in his descriptions, but I ended up going with a different company.  The cost for just one window was not within my budget.  They are set up for more extensive replacements.  I would definitely consider them for a larger project, though.

We recently hired Chris Jordan Xteriors to replace all 24 windows in our 1950s home. From start to finish it was a great experience. Got three bids and it is true what others have said about Chris respecting the client's time. The other two bids took an inordinate amount of time, with the representative seeming to want to hold us captive with unnecessary stories and anecdotes in every room of the house. Chris did not do this but was by far the most responsive to phone calls, scheduling and specific follow up questions by phone or email.
After we committed and the exact measurements were taken, it was less than four weeks until the work was scheduled and completed. Dan, Lester and the rest of the crew were a pleasure to work with?considerate, efficient, conscientious and professional. We are very confident about the quality of their work. Chris was on site for a portion of each of the two work days and his rapport with his professional workers was good to see.
We had an extra small project fixing a portion of roof gutter and shingles which were recently damaged by a fallen branch. Chris managed this project using another party than the window crew but the project was attended to with the same care and detail as the larger window project.
Based on our experience, we would definitely recommend Chris Jordan Xteriors for any of the services they perform.

Chris Jordan came over promptly to our house to inspect the peeling and chipping on the siding.  He was honest with me and told me that the siding should be under warranty since the house was built in 2005.  He even went so far as to get in touch with the representatives of the product to assist me in the process!  Now that's customer service.

At a very competitive price, Chris provided us with 13 new windows that we are very happy with.  They operate smoothly, have nice locking and tilting features, and keep out noise.  He was able to provide windows with internal sashes to match our existing original windows, at only a small additional cost, and they look great.  His carpenter also inexpensively corrected a sloping problem with two window frames, due to our old porch having sunk, and those windows also work great.  If we ever replace more windows, we will use Jordan Exteriors again.

We were very happy with Chris, and with his crew.  Chris is very responsive and friendly.  He quickly provided a proposal and also was able to schedule our work soon after we agreed.  His crew worked hard and finished the project in one day.  The siding looks great - it looks like a new garage.  And the gutters are well done (he included extra downspouts at no charge to take into account our tricky drainage).  We found the price to be competitive.  And, Chris has the best customer service of any contractor we've worked with.  He will be the first person we call if we need more work exterior work in the future.

Very responsive. Comparable windows with another company were $14,000! Jordan has a set price for his windows, which was very much appreciated (I hated dickering with the other companies who usually started with a price of $22,000).  The installers were very professional and hard working. Also very clean. It would have been a bonus if they had washed the windows at the end, but that really would have been something special. No complaints! Excellent service! Very fast response times with questions and such.
