It was an overall great experience! I can’t say enough about Ben. His communication skills are excellent!! Ben explains the process from the beginning and most of all he does what he says he will do. Finally his finished product was all that he said that it would be and more. My wife and I would highly recommend Ben and BMB Contracting!!!

I was informed and updated frequently throughout the day and at the end of every day as well. The work perform was incredible. My family and I couldn’t be happier. Initially, things went great. We hired Ben in the fall of 2018 to remodel our main floor bathroom and then add a new bathroom to our master bedroom upstairs. He came up with a detailed plan, timeline, and quote. He seemed eager and excited about the project, and we were too. The work started well enough. Demolition went quick, and Ben was timely and responsive. It seemed liked the project was moving along well. But once the actual construction work started, things began to bog down. Ben would tell us a time he was going to come each day, and then routinely show up hours late (which was difficult for my wife, who works as a night nurse, and couldn't plan her sleep schedule). Some days he didn't show up at all, often without letting us know (it became clear to us he had numerous other projects and had spread himself too thin). One night he even left us without a working toilet in the house (which, for my pregnant wife at the time, was a pretty big deal; she ended up driving to my office at 1:00 a.m. that night, just to use the bathroom). The work itself still seemed good, but on closer inspection, it wasn't. Ben ended up cutting a lot of corners. For instance, we've noticed that he didn't drywall or mud all the way up on one wall in our lower bathroom to the window sill. You can't see it from a normal standing position, but when you bend down, there's a gap between the finished wall and the bottom of the sill. He also didn't provide a heat source for our upstairs bathroom (a violation of code). Numerous other finishing touches were left undone as well (unpainted edges of trim, unfinished drywall under the vanity upstairs, sealing the base of the toilet, etc.). He also "forgot" a lot of the answers we gave him on different things we asked for and did things differently than we wanted. Then, when we asked him to fix it, he would get kind of frustrated. By far the two biggest issues, though, are that he simply vented the upstairs bathroom exhaust fan into the attic without punching it through the roof (a HUGE violation of code), and he never pulled any permits, despite charging us for them. We found out about the first problem when we had another contractor come do some work for us. He found moisture and mold in our attic--the result of months of the fan blowing shower steam in there. We eventually ended up paying $10,000 to replace the whole roof. We just found out that he never pulled permits yesterday. We're trying to sell our house, and it's become a logistical nightmare because of Ben. We've repeatedly called, texted, emailed, and Facebook messaged him to try and get to the bottom of it, and he hasn't responded to a thing. I cannot say this strongly enough: Do not work with Ben Borzym. On the surface and initially, he seems great, and so does his work. But once he gets tired of your project (and, if it's a long one, he will), he'll simply start doing whatever he wants, no matter how poor the quality or how shoddy the work. Also, he violates code and doesn't pull permits, which create huge problems for you down the road. Find another contractor. You'll be better off.

Great work, beautiful cabinets, and provided excellent digital designs. Walked me through selection, process, and time frame and made all the purchases necessary on my behalf to facilitate the remodel.

I have hired a lot of contractors and had good experiences until I hired Ben Borzym. He took 3 months to finish a small bathroom remodel, and that was only because we gave him an ultimatum as we were days from moving into our house. The quality of the drywall looked like a first grader did it. I supplied a new shower valve, he installed the old one which does not work and I need to hire someone to remove new tile and install new valve. He was going to do custom cabinets for us, but came back and said he couldn't do them and we had to source our own. The problems: Untimely, Poor workmanship, messy, unprofessional, Liar. He and his guys show up when they feel like it. We sometimes went over a week with no work being done. Then, Ben worked from 9PM to 4AM one night when we were at the house. He is extremely messy, you will be doing a lot of cleaning. They even helped themselves to our Kuerig and other beverages (would have been fine if asked). We caught Ben in a number of lies and he "forgot" many of the details we talked about with the project. Our neighbors were not happy that we had 2 full bagsters on the driveway for 3 months due to Ben. The only positive was that he hired someone else to do some of the tile work and that guy was great! I hired Ben because I wanted to work with a small contractor and liked that he was a vet. Big Mistake! There are lot of good contractors out there. This is not one of them. I hope Ben learned from our project and can be a better contractor to others.

He was very easy to work with, asked for our opinion on all of the work he was going to do, helped us with the color scheme, suggested places were we could look for certain items we needed to pick out. He made the whole decision making as painless as possible when deciding on color, accessories and the whole remodeling experience.

Oh my gosh, we have the most beautiful kitchen that I have ever seen and it belongs in magazine. The hand built cabinets made the colors come to life. What a superb job and strong work ethic this young man has. He cleaned up after every working day and made sure we were informed of the progress. Overall, it was more than we expected. When you hire this contractor, you won't regret it and if you are more than pleased as we are, please leave some sour patches and ju ju bees on his truck before he leaves. Thank you, we couldn't of asked for anything better.

Granite installer even said the cupboards are very well made. Everything we needed done was completed with ease. He is very polite and professional. He listened to our requests, and completed them in a timely fashion. His custom work was done well.

Ben worked tirelessly to accommodate all my requests and numerous times I changed my mind about things. He also had ideas of his own that he shared with us. He was professional and pleasant every day. I can't wait to hire him again. The bathrooms are stunning and we are so happy.

Bens work exceeds expectation in whatever work he has performed for me. He is respectful, good natured, and a nice gentleman to work with, and get's along with others on the job site.
