From the first call to Donn's office, it was a great experience.  Robin was very professional and explained the process from start to finish.  Donn confirmed the appointment the day prior to the inspection, which I appreciated.  Donn arrived before the scheduled inspection time and from start to finish the inspection lasted just shy of 3-hours.  Again, a very thorough inspection!

Donn was on time, explained everything he was going to do before he started, shared his background and experience with us, explained the entire inspection process and said if we were not tired of hearing and learning about the grade around a home by the time he was done, he had not done his job. Well, we weren't tired of hearing about the grade around the house BUT he did do his job very well and not just in regards to the grading around the home. He pointed out things that were defects and also pointed out items that although were not defects were things we should be looking at for current and future maintanence.

Donn speaks quickly and everything he says is important, so listen carefully to him. He writes everything down (as all inspectors do) but he also took as much time as needed to answer any questions we had.

We were on a very tight timeline and Donn was able to prepare the report within 2 or 3 hours complete with photos of the items of concern and complete explainations.

Because we had Donn do our inspection we are feeling much more confident in our purchase and know exactly what we are buying with regards to what needs to be updated immediately and what items we should continue to look at for maintenance. Thank you very much Donn, we feel lucky to have had you as our inspector.

Donn was great. He sat down with us at the beginning and explained in detail how he approaches each inspection and what we could expect. He gave us a binder for our record keeping and note taking which was helpful. He pointed out several maintenance things we should take into consideration when we move into our house. He was professional and knows what he's doing. He came highly recommended to us and we would definitely recommend and hire him again.

Mr. Anderson was exceptionally professional and an obvious technical expert in his field. My current work schedule makes it very difficult for me to arrange services, yet Mr. Anderson was courteous enough to allow me to schedule other contractors during his inspection to provide quotes for known repairs. He was thorough and prompt, providing the report the same business day. I plan to schedule him to perform a home energy audit and radon test in the future. Mr. Anderson has my highest recommendation and gratitude.

Working with Donn was a fantastic experience all around. He gave an accurate cost estimate on my initial call. He arrived early to inspect the exterior of the house. He sat down with us to explain in detail what to expect from the house inspection - specifically helping us understand the difference between minor and significant defects. He answered questions and pointed out many possible maintenance tasks to consider. He also offered various recommendations to make the house more energy efficient. The inspection report was very thorough and easy to understand, including pictures to better illustrate the issues described. Our real estate agent also enjoyed working with Donn, and said she would add him to her short list of recommendations to her clients. I would recommend him to anyone in need of a thorough, detailed home inspection.

Donn was able to provide inspection as well as expert witness testimony for a poor siding installation. Our attorney indicated he was one of the most thorough he's seen; inspecting the siding on all areas of the home, the nails, length, insulation, studs, windows, flashing, interior walls, insulation, and ceiling areas that were damaged. Donn provided exact measurements, details, and numerous photos with specific information and data on each. He was absolutely exceptional, and with the detail and extra attention he paid even after (he actually touched base throughout the lawsuit to see if there was anything else we needed, and educated us greatly), Donn is the first person I will be calling when we buy our next home!

Donn Anderson was flat out fantastic through the entire process. This was my first time purchasing or even having made an offer to purchase a home, so I had really no idea what I was getting into or what I should be looking for. Donn was very good about explaining the entire process as well as his methods of inspection, and was very thorough without alarming or scaring me over anything. Thanks to his expertise, a few problems were found and solved before I closed on the purchase of my home. He even provides a wonderful binder with handy information and a full report with photos of any problem areas.

The inspector focused on the foundation and landscaping around the structure which did not make sense for a condo. He did not check any of the appliances. He simply checked that the furnace and A/C worked - nothing scientfic like measuring output. He actually came back to check the A/C - he skipped it initially because of a bad battery in the thermostat, but I complained and he redid it. Did not ignite the gas water heater to see if it was even functional. According to his report, this was all beyond the scope of the inspection. Had I known that before, I would not have contracted for the inspection - I could have done it myself. He did do a radon test which failed and the seller remedied. I would never again get an inspection for a condominium purchase.

He was great! Worth every penny. He was incredibly thorough, he provided us with a binder of reputable contractors to help us with future work on our home. He was very thorough in explaining how we can do our own minor repairs and gave us helpful hints. He was very forthright and to the point, which both my husband and I appreciated. He even made us laugh.

We are extremely pleased with Anderson Home Inspection and would recommend them to anyone wanting peace of mind in their new home!

The entire inspection was great. Donn is very knowledgable and will answer every question asked. He points out things and lets you know what is going on. My Husband and I are new to home purchasing, it was great to have Donn as a reference. He has also indicated that we could call him in the future with any questions. He gave us a very useful binder with information on homes.

The inspections went great. Being new to the process, Donn went over every detail of the inspection before he began. Then he took time to talk to us about the good and bad of what he saw and/or tested using language that was clear and not jargon of the job. It was easy to understand what steps to take to fix some things and what we didn't have to worry about because they were not problems. He was professional and reliable. He was courteous of the fact that we did not know a lot about owning homes and took the time to talk to us and explain everything in great detail. The two inspections he did for us were great experiences. I will absolutely use him again down the road.

The inspection went as scheduled. He was on time and even gave me a credit because my crawl space was easier to inspect than he originally thought. I would recommend this company to anyone needing a home inspection.

He is very thorough and there is no one else I would use. I really respect his opinion when it comes to who to use for contract work.

Donn was wonderful. I called him on Friday to discuss what I needed. He was able to fit the inspection in the next day. Saturday he arrived on time. I felt he did a very thorough inspection. He took his time and looked things over carefully. He really knows his stuff. He offered helpful advice. He supplied me with a report the day of the inspection and followed up with a final report, that he submitted to the bank. Thankfully the inspection passed, so we can refinance our house. Donn was personable and professional.

First, I was impressed that he agreed to do my inspection within the week. Everything about the buying process goes so quickly that I only had one week to get the inspection done. Second, Donn was very thorough-went through the two floors of the condo, the basement and the outside of the house. He took his time and explained everything thoroughly, took pictures and gave me a comprehensive report at the end. I felt very comfortable with the inspection. I was also happy to get a $50 discount for using Angie's List. :)

Arrived only a few minutes late. Donn took the time before the inspection to explain what I should expect from him as a client. What stuck out to me the most was his quote, "I inspect the house as if I was doing it for my family. I want you to be sure you know as much as you can about it." During the inspection, he taught me more about houses and how to maintain them than what I previously knew before. He identified some serious defects in the the furnace that may have cost a pretty penny if I didn't know about them earlier. Thanks to him, now the seller has to address them. He provides a very detailed report with maintenance tips and suggestions. A 100 page maintenance guide is also included. Would definitely do business with again for my next home purchase.

The inspection went very well. I wanted a Home Inspection performed on my home as a preemptive measure since we are considering the sale of our home. We felt that this would be a proactive step in helping to prevent any possible future delays in the eventual closing transaction on our real estate. Donn Anderson was punctual, professional, thorough, and very knowledgeable about construction and building codes. I am going to use the report to remedy all of the items found that could be issues to any potential buyer. The Property Condition Report and photos that Donn provided were very comprehensive and complete.

Buying a home is a complicated activity. There are 1001 things that need to be coordinated, not the least of which is making sure you're getting what you pay for. Donn Anderson and the folks at Anderson consulting make this last task 100% easier. From the quick and friendly scheduling to the in depth inspection, Donn took the time to answer all my questions. He was able to help me differentiate between true problems that needed to be corrected and maintenance items. He provided an on the spot printed and PDF binder of not only my inspection but also suggested maintenance activities. He quickly followed up on any questions I had after the inspection. And he linked up with my Realtor to make sure she knew what needed to go to the seller. Without a doubt I would use this company again and would recommend them to my friends and family. And if you're lucky, his wife sends him out to the inspections with some of the best chocolate chip cookies ever!

Donn Anderson is a true professional in every respect. His service was prompt, efficient, thorough, engaging, and he was completely knowledgeable in all matters pertaining to the two home inspections we had him perform (one for the home we were buying, and one for the home we were selling.) Donn's level of expertise is incredible. His inspection of our own home before we put it on the market saved us at least $2,000 by being able to bring in a structural engineer to evaluate and dismiss a questionable concern with the foundation of our home. Donn's keen eye caught the issue right away - and one of the experts he referred was able to put all of our concerns to rest. Can't speak highly enough of Donn's work ethic and breadth of experience. He has performed over 8,000 home inspections - from residential to commercial - and makes you feel that your inspection is the most important of all of them.

I'm very happy with my experience with them. They're very efficient and the report was excellent.

Overall, I was very pleased with the inspection and Donn's attention to detail. He made sure to explain everything to me that might be a concern or issue. He took tons of photos and documented every single home inspection item using his PDA. I called on Monday and he was able to come see the new home on Wednesday. While the time estimate was about "2 hours", the process actually lasted over 3, due to the care he took to check everything out. He came prepared with all the tools (such as a laser leveler) to check out foundation issues and such. The report from the inspection was given to me right as the inspection was completed (he printed it right there in the kitchen). An email report WITH photos is to come soon as well. The report is very detailed, easy to read and issues of concern are highlighted. I would use him again in a minute, if I need anything else inspected. The price for his services was very fair.

Excellent. Donn walked through our home and then discussed any identified problems, offering very helpful suggestions. He presented an indepth, printed report during the visit and submitted photos at a later date.

Donn was fantastic. He was prompt, well-informed, and a funny guy. He made what could have been a grueling experience into an informative and enjoyable Saturday morning. This was our first experience with any home inspector, but were thoroughly pleased and would definitely hire Anderson again.

Price included a $100 fee for radon testing. I was told there is a discount for repeat customers. We ended up not buying the house he inspected but will use him again to evaluate any future homes we are considering! We called him on a Monday, he did the work on Thursday of that week. Since we were not able to be there for the inspection (Donn strongly recommends you be there), our realtor was and she said it was the most educational afternoon she had spent in a long time. He worked under adverse conditions (it was 140 degrees in the attic) and was totally professional. He obviously takes pride in his work and will back his opinion!
