Storm Guard Roofing and Construction

It went very well. The project started November 2016. I was concerned that the project would not be completed due to winter approaching. We were very lucky as we had good weather. The roofing crew came first. They cleared the old roof, made some repairs and laid the new roof in a few days. In addition to new roof, they applying all new flashing, a chimney cricket and ridge venting. The siding crew came next about 3 days later. They had the siding off the entire house in an hour! They used insulation board on the house followed by the wood grain 4" double overlap vinyl siding. Some carpentry work had to be done where wood rot existed. By late afternoon the siding was done. They did a nice job going around the air conditioning lines exiting the house, as well as around the windows, door, porch light, dryer vent and hose faucets. As the roofers, they too did a good job cleaning the yard after their work. A couple of days later, the gutters went up. They were complete in 3 hours. What I thought was a good sign was that 20 minutes after they left, we had rain showers giving me a chance to see how well the gutters worked. Of course everything was fine with them. I give this company 5 stars because Ryan and his staff worked very well with me, maintaining very good communications. They also worked well with my insurance company.

Storm Guard was very helpful from the beginning of the process to the end. They were very knowledgeable from color to selection to the install and final inspection. The quality of work was top of the line.

Very well. The roofing looks great, there were a few small nitpicky details like a lot of roofing nails that ended up in the gutters (which subsequently ended up in my driveway as storms washed them down), and some minor dings in the metal siding around where the roof abutted my 2nd floor, but otherwise they did a great job. They work fast, they stay on schedule, they're super easy to talk to if there's any issues. There was a small hiccup on how the downspout was re-routed, for instance, and one email was all it took and they came right back out and fixed it without any hesitation.

We had a great experience with Ryan and the crew throughout the process. We had hail damage to our roof from the fall hail storm in Madison and were eager to get the roof replaced before winter hits. The companies in town were swamped with inquiries on roofing quotes and jobs and Ryan stood out as being extraordinary responsive and thorough not only to land the job but also throughout the job completion. He continuously kept us in the loop and always responded quickly to phone calls and emails. He was also very helpful in negotiations with the insurance, which helped us budget wise. He provided good and honest advice on gutter guards and spent time on the phone on some detail questions on the suitability of ridge vents in our situation. You can tell that he takes great pride in his company and is not just looking for a quick buck. The crew worked hard while also paying attention to details, had a good attitude, got the job done before winter hit. They even came out on Thanksgiving morning for half a day of work to make sure the job was completed before the first snow hit the ground. They also did an excellent good job cleaning up afterwards. We are very happy with the end results (see photos) and Storm Guard will be our contractor of choice should we need some roofing work again. All in all one of the best experiences with any contractor that I had in Madison.

Jenna was very thorough with the attic inspection and found mouse traps and places. Much more so than others inclusing home depot. She found the insulation damp, very little in some places and found used mouse traps. None of this was wver displayed to us before. She was far more pleasant to work with than home depot too. We were also told that we couldn't have a storm door as it was "too tight." Stormguard measured it up and installed with no problems. We now have found the house warmer, without cranking the heat up. There prices were very cost effective too. I highly recommend this company.

The job went very well. Ryan checked in with me frequently to see how I liked the progression of the job and the quality. He also came out several times to check in the crew doing the siding. The crew were extremely hard workers. They got the job done in a little over a week. Ryan was the most professional contractor that I had come out and bid the job. He shows that he cares about the customer and the work his company does.
