I called the office on a Wednesday afternoon and explained my cats symptoms and my suspicion of hyperthyroidism. I was given an appointment for 9 am the next day. We arrived a few minutes early and were immediately taken into the exam room. The veterinarian, Dr. Buchberger, and his assistant weighed my cat, examined him and listened to the list of symptoms I'd noticed. He agreed it was possible and tested for the most likely culprits due to cats age and ordered them in a way to keep costs down. By Friday morning my cat had a diagnosis of hyperthyroidism and a six week supply of medication from the on site pharmacy. In four weeks his levels will be checked to see what if any adjustments are needed with medication. The whole experience went smoothly and I felt comfortable with my cats care in their hands. They listened to my concerns and explained everything. They were affordable and I will take my other animals there for care if needed.

We took our cat in to have her teeth cleaned because she had terrible breath and wasn't eating dry food like she had in the past. She had ultrasonic scaling, sedatives, anesthesia, pain meds, two extractions, and antibiotics that were sent home. The office isn't the newest or slickest practice in town, but they did a fantastic job. They were very caring, kept us updated on how she was doing, and our cat didn't appear phased by the whole experience. Even with the extractions, she seemed back to normal (actually better than normal) almost immediately. The horrible smelling breath...totally gone! She started eating more dry food and completely gone is the occasional throwning up after eating her food. We priced out dental cleaning at several veterinarian's practices around town and this was the most reasonable we came across. I'll definitely take her back to have this done annually.
