Greg did an excellent job.  From my first phone call, to his visit to the house to give an estimate, to the actual work done, everything was a top-notch experience.  Greg really takes pride in his work.  I also like that he was very careful with the floors, counters and furniture while he was working, covering everything in drop cloth and plastic.  The walls and baseboards look great.  I will use Greg again for my next painting job.

This is the 2nd project that we have used Greg for and he again did a fantastic job.  We had new windows installed and he painted all of them.  He also painted our indoor porches.  He not only paints, but also looks for ways to improve the conditions of the surfaces that he's painting (caulking cracks, smoothing rough spots, etc.).  I would definitely recommend him to anyone with an older home or areas that need work beyond just painting.  He is great to work with and we would definitely use him again.

Greg Sefner and his partner were first-rate in every way.  I've since recommended him to several of my friends, and my decorator was so impressed by his work that she's now recommending him to her clients.  Greg's estimate was thorough and reasonable.  The project was completed exactly as estimated, on time with no add-on costs.  The work was high quality and meticulous.  He's very responsive to customer concerns and was terrific at making sure that my floors, furniture, and other belongings were well protected.   He also knows a lot about paint and provided helpful advice about this during the course of the job.  He's a true professional and is very easy to work with.  I would gladly hire him again.

This is probably the 6th or 7th time we've had Greg do work on one of our homes.  He is always on time, easy to work with and is very professional.  He did the back fence in the hottest days of summer and still showed up every day and got it all finished timely.  He finished the front just this week.  I would highly recommend Greg.

Greg Sefner is our go-to person for indoor house painting.  He had done work in my previous residence, and he repainted much of our current residence to freshen everything when we moved in.  We believe his prices are fair, and in fact, for the most recent job, we didn't even get another bid because we have confidence in him.  He told us when we first called that he was very booked and likely couldn't get to us for a few weeks, and he did, in fact, get to us when promised. The work took three days, from repair to repainting, and the bid was broken down into categories that made it clear what the cost would be depending on the circumstance.  We're very pleased with the work.

We had a great experience with Greg - - I highly recommend him and would happily contact him for future work. He was punctual and professional throughout. In our situation, both he and we thought the job would require two coats, but when a third coat was required - - it was a major color change - - Greg took care of it immediately at a reasonable cost. He took care in doing a good job throughout. He left the job site clean. 

I live in California and asked Greg to assess water damage on ceiling and around baseboards at Chicago rental condo. He very quickly coordinated schedule w/my tenants, responded to me with estimate, and again scheduled w/tenants to perform work. I appreciated that he kept me up-to-date with progress via phone and email.

He was really good. He was very professional, he was on time, he did great work, and he had a good price. I would use him again and I would recommend him. It was just one person that came out for this job and it only took him a few hours. He did exactly what I asked, he cleaned up, and even left us a note saying that he didn?t have any troubles. He left the extra paint in a place where it wouldn?t leak or anything and he said that he would come back for anything. It was perfect service and I couldn?t ask for anything better. He did everything right.

Everything went well from getting the estimate to completion of the job. Greg was very efficient and thorough in providing me with an estimate as well as easily understanding what I wanted to have done. He took pictures at the job site and provided me with an estimate the next day. He was on time (early most of the time) for the estimate and each day that he worked. He accommodated my schedule despite having a busy schedule of his own. Greg worked each day with extreme focus and diligence. He worked extremely hard each day, meticulously prepping each area that needed to be painted and covering exposed areas so that they would not be damaged. Greg is a perfectionist and I have the utmost respect for his attention to detail and skill as a painter. He is extremely talented and is excellent at his trade. The results before - deep ceiling cracks, walls disintegrating from water damage, old windows and a worn enclosed hallway all look beautiful since he has painted them. I am so pleased with the outcome of the project and in awe of the way Greg's painting skills can provide such beautiful results.

Greg was professional and courteous throughout -- from the estimate to scheduling to carrying out the painting job. His estimate was close to what I expected and a good bit less than another I received. He was knowledgeable and helpful. I was comfortable with him, hired him, and it work out well. I'm pleased with the quality of the work. Greg and Curtis worked neatly and efficiently, completing the job in the time they said they would. It seemed like a big job to me, in part because of the prep work the walls needed. Our house is old and the walls are imperfect. I had had some extensive work done to correct major problems with cracks and bumpy plaster work. There were still a number of minor bumps, lumps, and gouges to fix. Greg did the right amount of work to fix/clean up these superficial problems and make any bumpiness, unsightliness less obvious. To have done more would have required more extensive operation on the walls. I appreciated that Greg understood what I wanted when he worked up an estimate.

This is the second time that we hired Sefner Painting. The condo was built in 2003 and the rooms had only been painted at the time of construction. It's amazing how much more finished the rooms look after painting. The quality of work that Greg and Curtis perform is really amazing. I wouldn't use anyone else.They completed the job in the time promised, cleaned up well and are very pleasant people to work with. And on top of everything else they patiently tolerated our two annoying cats.

It went great overall. Greg Sefner and his assistant Curtis were very professional and talented painters who put a lot of focus on details. They were always on time, very clean. They were exceptional and I would heartily recommend Sefner painting to any one.

Greg and his helper did a terrific job. They worked fast and meticulously in a short amount of time to get a lot done. The work was superior adn I highly recommend this firm.

Greg's estimate was not the cheapest but we really liked his professionalism, and how much information he gave as well as asked us about how we wanted the work done. He knows paint! Greg did an excellent job painting our porch - when he was finished it looked like a brand new home. We have scroll work on the stair rails and fences and there was rust as well - he cleaned and painted them to look like new. He did a wonderfu job on the interior work too. He helped me choose the correct paint color when I was having a hard time finding the right tint. The repair wok he did was perfect. We actually were away when he did the interior work and I trusted him completely to be here when we were gone. In addition, he cleaned up every night and when we returned all the furntiure was put back correctly and pictures hung. We plan on using Greg again for future projects.

Greg provided responded very quickly to the initial call, providing a thorough and reasonable estimate within 5 hours of first seeing the job. He was available to do the work within one week and was able to complete the job in only 2 days. He was very flexible with my schedule and always met when most convenient for me. He had to make an extra trip to the paint store due to my error and did so graciously. The job was completed excellently. I will definitely recommend Greg's services to anyone and will use him the future if the need arises.

After replacing water-damaged drywall in much of our living room ceiling and wall, the carpentry service we'd hired did a sloppy, incomplete job of painting: several patches in the wall were left unpainted, large portions of the painted wall were marred by air bubbles, debris, scuff marks, and even gouges; the baseboards had paint dripped all over them; several areas near the ceiling clearly needed another coat of paint; and the edges between the (differently colored) ceiling and walls were sloppy and uneven. Once we realized we couldn't get them to finish the job properly, we began contacting Angie's List-recommended painters to fix and complete the job. While there were a lot of details to deal with, the overall volume of the job didn't seem too large, so we were surprised when the quotes came in for 2-3 painters working a full day for total costs of $650-975, not including paint (most of which we were supplying anyway). When Greg Sefner came in to inspect the room and give an estimate, we were immediately impressed with his professionalism, courtesy, and immediate understanding of exactly what we needed done. He told us he could do the job himself in a day or a day and a half, quoting us $385 including labor and the one extra gallon of paint we'd need. Since only half of the primary wall needed repainting, he warned us that the color match might not be perfect, but said he'd paint the rest of the wall for another $75 if we weren't satisfied with how the colors looked. We liked what we heard, and although he had a busy schedule, we were able to set things up for the following week. On the day of the job, he didn't let us down - he was punctual (actually calling us to apologize that he ran into traffic and would be running late - in fact, he arrived less than 5 minutes after the agreed-upon 9 AM start time), and worked diligently the whole time he was here. He was unfailingly polite and professional, took great care in protecting our furniture and floors, and was even good with our sometimes overexuberant dog. He finished most of the work in one day, returning the following day for another hour to complete the job. After the difficulties we'd had with the earlier work, we were truly thrilled with the excellent job Greg did for us. Every problem we'd noticed was fixed completely, and even the color match was great (we never did need to take him up on the extra painting for $75). He was even so conscientious that he called me later that day: he thought he might have left a bag of debris in front of our building, and when he came back to retrieve it, it wasn't there, so he assumed we'd thrown it out ourselves and wanted to apologize. (We'd noticed no such bag, so he really had nothing to apologize for.) Greg deserves our highest recommendation: he did excellent work at a very good price, and was a pleasure to work with throughout the experience. We look forward to hiring him for any and all of our future painting projects.

Greg was prompt, professional, accommodating (my schedule required a break in the work for a couple of days), and the end result was excellent. Would highly recommend.

Greg is what all providers should be. Stuck to his estimate. Beautiful job! Can't even tell where he painted. He was even a little flustered when I gave him a tip. An absolute pleasure to work with. A+++ in my book. Will definitely use him again. We have recommended him to friends and they loved him just as much as we do.

Greg's work exceeded all my expectations. I did not think it was possible to improve the look of the rooms he worked on so dramatically! Greg was very nice to work with. He was professional and did everything he said he would. I plan to have him back to paint the rest of my apartment in the future.

Our 106 year old home looks brand new thanks to Greg. Greg was able to make our old and uneven plaster walls look new again. He did so much more than just paint the walls. He evened out every surface and painted with great care and precision. We also loved that he planned the project in a way that allowed us to maintain a functional living space while he worked. He painstakingly sectioned off each room as he painted it to minimize dust and allow us to still have some living space. This was so important to us as we have an 11 month old who likes to roam. We would definitely recommend Greg and we will work with him again! He is incredibly professional.
