The inspection went great I was very pleased with the effort the inspector made to ensure the structural and mechanical elements of the house were to the buyers standards and point out all safety hazards existing.

The inspection went great. The provider was very thorough and did a nice job of explaining what he was looking at and things that were being taken into consideration. The radon test results received were easy to interpret and the provider included additional materials to understand what radon is. I had great experience and would definitely recommend provider again!

The inspection went very well. He was very thorough and explained several things we didn't know about, since we are new to this area. He took the time to answer any questions we had, like with the egress window, cracks in cement, places that should be sealed, etc.

James was incredibly detailed oriented but also took the time to answer every single one of me and my husband's question. We ended up purchasing the home and have and had no surprises so far because of James' careful work and documentation.

James thoroughly inspected in, under, around and on the house to be purchased. He checked every nook and cranny and then provided me with a detailed inspection report highlighting any areas he was concerned about. He also too many photos of his concerns and areas that typically are questioned to accompany his report

The owner, James Haugen, is an excellent Home Inspector. Between the two of us, my husband and I have purchased and sold seven homes, so we have been through the inspection process many times. We've had great inspectors and we've had lousy inspectors, so we have learned how to find the good ones and what to expect from an excellent and thorough home inspection.
James is very professional and excellent at inspecting homes. He is incredibly thorough. He looks at every inch of the home, inside and out, thoroughly evaluating the condition of each room, mechanical systems, safety issues, etc. One sign of a good inspector is that they know enough about home systems that they can educate you about your new house -- I strongly recommend that you accompany James on the entire inspection as you will learn a lot about your new home. His report is very detailed, but actually being there makes a difference (there will be some boring parts where he is busy looking at something, so bring something to do for those times). My husband and I have been through the costly mistake of not getting a good inspector -- the expensive repairs that you didn't know about before you bought the home! Don't make that mistake -- a house is a huge investment! Get a great inspector -- if you live anywhere near Onalaska, WI, hire Advanced Home Inspections. James will travel (our home is an hour south of La Crosse).
