The Davey Tree Expert Company

A company rep came out for a site visit, looked over the tree, and we discussed the job.  He helped me decide how best to prune the tree.  We set up an appointment to have the work done, and the crew (2 men) showed up right on time.  In addition to removing the dead limbs, they removed some of the lower branches so I could walk/mow under the tree more easily,  The work was done quickly, they did a nice job, and everything was cleaned up.  I was very pleased.

At my request, Davey's sent a tree expert to diagnose a large ash tree. They determined that it was not emerald ash bores, but pruning would help the tree. Within a week they send a 3 man crew to prune 5 mature trees. I am very happy with the pruning and clean-up. Given the time it took for 3 men, the cost was fair.

They provided good service for me. 

Great in the past years but this year has not lived up to our agreement. 

They are here right now, as we speak. We are on a service contract with them. They get the job done right, on time, and at the cost they say. Pretty much what you see is what you get. I will continue to use this company in the future.

THERE MAN HAS BEEN COMING OUT FOR OVER 5 YEARS.  EACH TIME THEY APPLY THE APPROPRIATE FEED OR WEED CONTROL.   THEY HAVE BEEN ESPECIALLY CAREFUL AROUND MY FLOWER GARDENS.  SOMETIMES HE'LL RING THE BELL TO DISCUSS THE LAWN OR I'LL BE AROUND.  HE IS VERY HELPFUL.  MY LAWN IS BETTER THAN THE NEIGHBORS...........AND THAT'S A-OK !!!!!!!!!

I made an appointment for an estimate and the person showed up right on time.  He looked over the tree, asked the right questions, and answered all my questions.  The two men who acme to do the work were friendly and professional and got right to work.  The tree looks great, and they cleaned up everything they had cut off the tree 

I was not happy with the communication because they were supposed to call before they come. They were supposed to basically tell me when they come and they didn't. As far as the work, they did a very clean job of removing the debris. They removed a number of trees and left a very clean yard behind. My interaction was very brief with them. They did what they were supposed to do. I have no idea about the price. I didn't have an opportunity to compare. They came when they wanted. I didn't know when they were coming. They did all the work in my absence.

Very pleased with the results. Trees look good, they cleaned up everything and hauled away all the debris. Couldn't have asked for more for the money.

We bought a package, but I really can't remember how much it cost. We use them because their price was the best. The people are very helpful and friendly. Once they missed a tree and they came right back and took care of it. We found them on Angie's List 3 years ago. They just come when they know they are supposed to. We will continue to use them.

The job was flawless !!! The Ash tree overhung the house a bit, so it was rather tricky to get to. The Maple was thinned and trimmed as requested. The Amur maple, with two dead branches and suckers everywhere was cleaned up as promised. They raked the yard and took away all debris with them. In fact, it was so clean, that it took me two days to notice that they were even here! My wife had to tell me, as I came home from work after dark that week. What a pleasant surprise!!!

The arboritst who gave the estimate was knowledgable and had good ideas which I went with. I had to wait several weeks (longer than originally told) to get the work done and needed to call to request it to be scheduled. The tree trimmer couldn't follow the diagram indicating which branches to trim and didn't know the quote included the thinning also. A call to the office straightened this out. Ultimately he did a very nice job with the pruning and thinning. The tree looks great. They cleaned up very well.

With a crew of three people, they cut up the entire tree, mulched the small branches in a chopper, and removed some broken branches from our neighbor's tree. They left the wood in small pieces so we could chop it up for firewood. They completed their work in a matter of a few hours and were honest enough to tell us that their stump removal would be very expensive because they would have to subcontract the work.

They are very good. We had a split tree. The tree was damaged many years ago in an ice storm. We had bolted it together and it was fine for many years. However, there was a big wind and we were afraid that a branch would land on our roof. They came out immediately and cut down the whole tree, a couple of years ago. They charged $500 to cut down the tree. The last time they came out, they charged us $800. We think that they were excellent. They cleaned-up everything. We had to get rid of the stump of the tree. They sent someone else to grind up the stump. We thought they were a little expensive, but we haven?t compared their prices with the other companies. We?ll definitely use them again, if necessary.

They have been doing my lawn since May 2004 and it looks and is growing excellent. Price has risen over time..........seems a bit expensive, but I have no idea what others charge. I am satisfied enough with their service to not bother to check prices or shop. Only help I give it is occasionally deep watering during long dry spells.

They response time was immediate! They are informative and did the job perfectly.

They did a magnificent job. When they left it was cleaner than it was before they came.

The Davey Tree Expert did a great job but I think that their prices are a little high. They are very responsive and friendly. They were able to answer any of my questions and they did a good clean up after they trimmed our trees.

Prompt service and attention to not using too much pesticide.
