It went great & Dr. Nikki is my favorite vet i've ever known. She hugged me b/c even tho my dog had no cancer, i was still worried about it, and it was just such a relief to hear good news, well, i cried! I have heard nothing but good things about all the staff there. And Dr. Nikki is now going to be my vet for my animals b/c of her kind & gentle ways. And they are letting me make payments on my dog's surgery, which is something i was VERY grateful for, otherwise i would not have been able to have my dog's surgery. Thanks to them for being one of a kind veterinary service, in my opinion. Also, about 4 months ago when we had to have a family pet that Nikki had worked on for the last few years for a serious & hard to treat medical condition, she come out to the car b/c our dog couldn't walk, and she let us say goodbye before she gave her the final injection, and didn't hurt her doing it. Injecting in the back leg is the absolute kindest way to do this horrible thing that has to be done sometimes. I thank you Dr. Nikki for being so good to us in such a horrible time.

Kronenwetter Vet has been our regular veterinary clinic for years now, mostly seeing Drs. Nikki or Katie. On this specific day they weren't available and I needed a quick appointment so I saw Dr. Chris that day. He is a very nice man who knows his stuff- all the doctors there do. They are always attentive to my animals needs and my needs and feelings as well. One of the things Dr. Chris did that day was clean the infected area, took a sample to check and see what it was and also aspirated a lump my dog had near the infection. Thankfully he called a few days later to say the lump is just a cyst or a fatty cyst and nothing to worry about. He gave us antibiotics for the infection before we left and our dog did just fine. All of the doctors take cost into consideration as well- they will tell you up front what a procedure will cost whether it's a simple lab draw or something a little more invasive such teeth cleaning/pulling, etc.
Every time we walk into the clinic Dr. Katie and Dr. Nikki say hi to our animals by name and they remember our names as well. Even if we're just there to weigh the dog or buy some treats they greet us and remember us. They have a great supply of specialty treats and foods for cats and dogs along with stuff for other animals. We live on the north side of Wausau and drive the 20 minutes to the clinic because we believe all the doctors and staff there are well educated. The ladies at the front desk are friendly and remember us and the assistants are nice too.

I have been with Kronenwetter Vet for approximately 20 years. Once, when money was really tight, I tried changing providers to save a little money. What a mistake. You can not beat the quality of service you get from Kronenwetter Vet. From the front desk to the operating room, we have had nothing but high qualtiy, friendly, understanding, courteous service.
