Not only did this mechanic shop deliberately defraud me and put my life in jeopardy, but they also defrauded my insurance company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. On January 1st I hit a deer with my 2010 Mazda 3 and had it towed to this location. The following Monday I talked with a woman named Maggie and asked that a full inspection of my vehicle be completed and she informed me that the only thing wrong was my electric power steering pump was broken. My bumper was cracked, but they do not do body work so I would have to take it elsewhere. Maggie then tried to upsell me in around $3,000 of general maintenance (like tires and filters). A virtual vehicle assessment was performed by my insurance company due to Covid and O’Gorman’s was able to control the narrative and say only the pump needed to be replaced. A used part was sourced by my insurance company at a junk yard in state. Maggie chose to source the part from an out of state junkyard and send it to a mechanic shop in Chicago. After over two weeks of delays in just waiting for the part to arrive, it’s installed and doesn’t work. A brand new part must be purchased and installed. After 25 days of waiting for this one part to be installed I am notified that my car has been fixed. When I pick up my vehicle I am given the keys after I pay my deductible and take my car to an auto body shop to fix my broken bumper. On January 29th I am notified by my insurance company that my car is a total loss as there is over $7,000 in damages to the vehicle. My windshield washer tank was shattered, the air intake cover and grille were broken, the front and rear engine cover was ripped off, and all of the bumper/headlight/fog light damage just to name a few. Then I am told that O’Gorman’s deliberately put in a bad part (the power steering pump was cracked open and leaking fluid). Serial numbers were compared to what was purchased directly from the dealer and what was installed on my car, they did not match. O’Gorman’s then began avoiding calls by my insurance company and refused to send over the paperwork requested. Do not take your car here. They overcharge, upsell, lie to your face, and clearly do not care about the safety of their customers. I would say that they don’t know how to do their job, but installing a broken power steering pump on a vehicle and making it work effectively is an impressive accomplishment. They are malicious and deceptive. 0/10 do not come here for any reason.

I have had other services there, brakes, transmission, and all. They are trustworthy.

They give you coupons, to make the price less. They are regular auto service, easy to get an appointment, they are timely, they let you know what is going on, don't overcharge you, its a great service.

They are very good. We have taken our Nissan Altima and Honda Civic here. We have used their services for about 3 years and have been pleased with their work. I didn’t have to make an appointment for the emissions test and I was in and out in 20 minutes.

O'Gorman's West Towne Auto Inc. did good work. They give a guarantee on everything that they do.

Friendly and family-friendly. Quick. Pleasant.

I was told that if I dropped off my car on Thursday, the water pump and timing belt would be replaced on Friday for my 100k mile replacements. Though I told O'Gorman's that I was leaving for a road trip on Sunday and needed the work done Friday, they said it would be done. The work was not finished and the owner of the store was incredibly rude and blaming me, the customer, for the delay by insinuating that I was told to drop the car off early on Thursday, when I was told no such thing - just that I should drop the car off before 5 pm. Although O'Gorman's is more expensive then most mechanics my family has been going there for a good while, but this incident has lost them several long-time customers. They are expensive and not trustworthy to get the job done, my car is now sitting in their lot with the timing belt ripped out and not able to run, and I am scrambling to find a mechanic who can finish the job on a Saturday. Do not go to O'Gorman's.

Had my vehicle towed in as it was completely out of oil. It was dropped off and they did an inspection and provided an estimate. After I agreed, work was performed to estimate and no "surprises" were found. Work was completed on time and very professionally.

I was returning home from a trip to the Twin Cities when my car started making a loud squeaking noise. I stopped along the way and was told my timing belt needed to be replaced which I had the auto repair shop do. By the time I arrived in Milwaukee, the car was making the same noise. I called O'Gormans to see when they had a loaner car and an time available for me to come in. It turned out I was able to get in the next day. I dropped my car off the next moring and by noon they called me with the good news/bad news. (Bad - My new timing belt was not a high quality belt. Good - I would be fine if I decided not to have it replaced.) I decided to have O'Gormans replace since I would be worried about it breaking at an inconvenient time and I couldn't stand the noise it made. They were very friendly and professional.

There was nothing that stood out about them.

Left front brake was making a clunking sound. Took the van to O'Gorman's, where I've taken my vehicles many times before, to get it checked-out. The van had over 100K miles on it and had the front brake pads replaced once before, so I knew it was time to do that again. They found the left front caliper needed to be replaced and there was nothing left to re-surface on the rotors. They did the work, but the brakes still made noise, so I took it back. They replaced the rotors again (originals were defective?) at no charge. Mary and Sean were very helpful and worked with me to get the job done to my satisfaction.

They were very good at keeping me informed via the diagnostics and being informed as to the condition of the car. The most noteworthy aspect, however, was that they found a defective part and informed me, by reviewing their computerized information, that the part would be under warranty with my dealer and that they, in all good conscience, felt obligated to inform me of such, thereby saving me approximately $700.00!!

While I was there for the oil change, they found something wrong with my tires. I informed them that I had just purchased new tires, so they actually coached me in how to go back to the tire company to get new tires, which I did. I really appreciated their thoughtfulness. They were very helpful, and they even followed up with me to make sure the tires were fine.

I had a coupon for the service so there was no charge. Their facility is very clean and neat. Very professional. It's wonderful that they can also support local causes as well as doing great auto work.

I received 3-4 calls regarding estimates for various problems on the car so communication was good I think. I would have liked a more thorough diagnosis on the exaust system, or a call when repair was complete. Additional repairs were required on the exaust system, as evidenced by the noise.

WHEN I CALLED TO MAKE THE APPOINTMENT (3 WKS. BEFORE COMING IN), THEY TOLD ME THE WORK WOULD ONLY TAKE 1 HR. and IF I GOT THE CAR THERE BY 7:45 AM, I COULD BE DONE RIGHT AWAY. I TOLD HIM I HAD TO BE DONE THAT MORNING, BECAUSE I WAS GOING OUT OF TOWN THAT AFTERNOON. I DROPPED THE CAR OFF AT 7:45 AM, and THEY SAID THEY WOULD CALL WHEN IT WAS DONE. I WENT BACK AT 9:30 AM TO SEE HOW IT WAS COMING ALONG, AND THEY SAID THE TIRES WEREN'T EVEN THERE YET. IT TURNED OUT THAT THEY DIDN'T EVEN ORDER THE TIRES UNTIL THE DAY BEFORE I CAME IN. INSTEAD OF BEING DONE IN AN HOUR - I DIDN'T GET OUT UNTIL 1:30 PM AND WAS LATE LEAVING FOR MY OUT OF TOWN TRIP.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS GOOD. NO PROBLEMS WITH PERSONNEL. FOLLOW-UP CALL RECEIVED.

AFTER CHECKING ON THE PROBLEM, THEY TOLD US THAT IT WOULD COST US ABOUT $870 TO GET OUR VOLVO REPAIRED. THIS SEEMED EXCESSIVE TO ME, SO I GOT THE SPECIFICS FROM THEM AND CALLED ANOTHER COMPANY TO LET THEM KNOW THE SITUATION. THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD BE ONLY ABOUT $500 PLUS THE COST OF THE TOW. THE PART THAT O'GORMAN WANTED TO CHARGE ME OVER $500 FOR ONLY COST $175 ACCORDING TO THE OTHER COMPANY. SO I PAID THE $74 DIAGNOSIS FEE TO O'GORMAN'S AND HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE OTHER SHOP. THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM AND SAVED ME OVER $250. I WILL NEVER USE O'GORMAN'S AGAIN, THEY WERE OVER-CHARGING ME TO AN EXTREME SO I HAD THE CAR TOWED AND SAVED OVER $250.

VERY HONEST. WE HAVE GREAT CONFIDENCE IN THEIR FEEDBACK. THEY'VE TAKEN MEASURES TO MAKE SURE WE SAVED MONEY. VERY PLEASED OVERALL.

I THOUGHT I JUST NEEDED MY TIRE PLUGGED. THEY QUOTED ME FOR THAT. THEY CALLED ME BACK QUICKLY TO SAY THAT THE TIRE COULDN'T BE PLUGGED AND QUOTED A REPLACEMENT, I OK'D IT. IT WAS ALL SET ON THE RIM AND READY FOR MY CAR WHEN I ARRIVED. THEY OFFERED TO PUT IT BACK ON MY CAR FOR ME. I ACCEPTED.
