Greitens Auto Service

Had a great first visit to Greitens! They do a free inspection on every visit, and I was surprised by the level of detail and pictures that come with the online inspection report. It’s even color coded with their recommendations. Very easy to understand. Mike was very friendly and explained things in layman’s terms to me. Work was done quickly and probably at 50% of the price the Mazda dealership quoted me. Wow! I will definitely be back.

We've taken our cars there for the last few years and I have a car making a noise that was just almost nothing and he didn't charge me again just to look at it like I can't remember what it was anymore but whatever it is he just quick fixed t and didn't charged me.

I pulled off the freeway with a flat tire at about 8:30 am and happened to come across Greitens Auto Service first. I feared getting into work either hours late or work clothes in disarray from tire-changing. The workers at Greitens clearly had cars to work on, but immediately changed my tire. They were very polite (offering coffee and hot chocolate), professional and efficient. The bill came to $11 and change and I got to work on time. I couldn't be more pleased with their service.

Greiten's is now our regular shop. We've used various places in the neighborhood and am happy with Greiten's, which we've used for about two years. Very responsive in getting in. Good diagnostics & updates. Have had no problems with their work. I'm not looking for the lowest price; I want a fair price with good quality & interaction. Greitens does that.

I was in and in 35 minutes. I've been going to Greitens for years! Love those guys!

We use them all the time. They're incredible. I would recommend them for anyone. They're wonderful, very. They're very professional and very warm. If we need to get our car in, they work it in. They're great.

All work was done as quoted and in a reasonable amount of time. I like that Kevin called me with updates and asked my opinion on what should be done. He even scraped my windows the morning I came to pick up my car. A couple of days before my wife had to drive to Nashville, my check engine light came on. Kevin got my car in the day she was going to leave. He had the car fixed and ready to go by the time she had to leave town. I appreciate that type of service.

It went great!  We have been taking our cars to Greiten's for 17 years and have always been so pleased with their service.  They have been able to get our cars in,  in a timely manner and we have found that their costs are very reasonable.  We so appreciate that they will take care of little issues like checking our tire pressure if we just stop in.  All of our children also take their cars to Greiten's even though they live across town.

Outstanding.  He told me that the muffler fix would be over $1000, but identified that it was covered by a warranty of which I was unaware (8 years/80,000 miles).  I was just a few hundred miles away from it (79,500 miles, aprox.).  He suggested to take it to the dealership, where it will be replaced at no cost -- and indeed, it was.  His honesty saved me over $1000. 
I also was happy with the other work he did.  
I highly recommend him.

They do an excellent service. I would highly rate them. I just made an appointment with them for next Monday. It is a small shop and the people that work there are very personable. They know who I am when I walk in the door and call me by name. I think that their prices are fair but I do not think that they are the cheapest out there. They only do what needs to be done. They do not sell you a list of, "Oh, you should do this. You should do that and that." If your car needs servicing, they will tell you what it needs.

See notes above.  I have tried to really love this garage.  My uncle still takes his car to this garage.  My dad used to take his car there, but no longer does.  We have a long history and most of it very favorable.

The check engine light for our 2005 Hyundai Elantra came on as my wife drove home from work. Since she needed an oil change anyway, I took it to her regular place for the oil change and they ran a diagnostic for the check engine light. They said that both O2 sensors needed to be replaced, totaling close to $400. Due to the timing and cost of this issue, I didn't have the repair done that day and instead did some calling around and additional research.
One place I called agreed to do the work and only charge for labor if I got the parts (the parts themselves totaled over $300). Another place told me that it's rare for both O2 sensors to fail and may indicate a bigger issue. They said that their mechanic/owner would call me back to dicuss further but they never did.
I wanted to take the car to a place that was reliable and relatively close to my home. So after a few lackluster searches online, I bit the bullet and joined Angie's List. This led me directly to Greitens Auto Service. I called Greitens and got Kevin who confirmed that both O2 sensors failing is not common and that they would run a diagnostic to determine what the real issue was. Then I could choose to have the work done there or somewhere else, if so inclined. Kevin was very patient with me as I ran through my questions I formed with my new found 'knowledge' of what I learned from speaking with other places and forums on the interwebs. He was able to fit me in the next morning.
Greitens is a cool shop located at Bluemound and Hawley, across the street from a graveyard. The guy that greeted us was very pleasant and got all the details he needed for the repair. I heard from Dennis a few hours later and it was a failed O2 sensor but only one (and the cheaper of the two, I might add). He also indicated that we needed new tires and included two estimates since we couldn't get them at that time. Lastly I also asked if he could check the air bag light that stays on all the time and he said that he would take a look and let me know of any costs if it wasn't a quick fix.
He called me a few hours later saying the car was ready. When I stopped in to pick it up and pay the bill, the price he quoted me on the phone, which I thought was just for the repair, also included the diagnostic (~$90), labor and parts! Needless to say, this price came in well under what any competitor was asking and much better than what we were expecting. Fantastic deal!
Dennis stated that they didn't fix the air bag light but researched Hyundai's website to find two recall notices from ages ago that were still valid that addresses this issue. My wife tried to have the dealership fix it but they said it would cost $500. Now we can get it fixed for free!
Dennis and his team went over and above what any mechanic has done for me in the past. They will definitely get our business in the future. Plus they are right next door to our favorite Mexican restaurant. Win-win!

They're incredibly honest. We've been told that we don't need things. They're valuable and friendly. Their customer service is excellent. They send you maintenance reminders of what you need on your car. I've been with them for 15 years. It was an excellent experience.

I have been using them for 6 years and I will continue to use them. I was there about February for an oil change and maintenance. I give them an A rating.

I appreciated the fact that they actually gave me a loaner car to drive. The repairs were done efficiently, I was treated with courtesy, and they were very professional and friendly.  I will definitely go back with my next repair problem.
