Steve was great. Gave a complete estimate including approximate date of install. He did everything exactly as he said, and kept in touch with us throughout the process. He even did a few minor carpentry things that we asked about last minute and charged a very reasonable hourly rate. We highly recommend him and will use him again if the need arises.

Steve was professional, easy to work with and always arrived on-time. He is detailed oriented and an excellent craftsman.
We wanted to replace a set of cabinets that hung between our kitchen and family room with a shorter set that would have glass doors similar to our china cabinet doors between our kitchen and dining room. We were also looking for a custom sized kitchen island with cabinets to match the rest of the kitchen. Steve understood what we wanted, made some suggestions and designed the cabinets for us. He installed the cabinets and island in less time than he estimated, so he lowered his final price.
We are very pleased with the furniture quality and the way it matched our existing cabinets in terms of style and finish. We would recommend Steve highly and hope he doesn't get too busy to work on our next project. :-)

Steve was prompt in returning my call, scheduled an appointment and arrived exactly on time. Steve was very detailed oriented and worked very hard to understand my design. He was much more thorough than any other cabinet maker in taking measurements and making dimensioned drawings. The design of the surround was intricate and complex and Steve completely understood it. When he arrived to install the surround he made, we were amazed at the furniture quality of the fit and finish. The color and finish were perfect and his installation job was perfect. Steve is an excellent craftsman and a really good guy who is dedicated to quality and committed to total customer satisfaction. I have a long list of additional projects for Steve and I am confident I will be just as pleased with any work he does

Project really went incredibly well. We designed an asymetrical shelving system around all 4 walls in a room. The system "floats" and is interconnected across the shelves and around corners. Steve understood our concept from the beginning. We designed the space and it's requirements, and Steve confirmed all dimensions and constructed the system in his shop and installed in sections directly into our room. His approach saved us from having a month long construction process going on in our house and avoided a ton of dust. He installed the system in about 4 days. Construction is solid, clean, and as envisioned. He used high quality materials, and he knows his craft well. He was able to adjust the construction to "fit" the room, compensating for bows in the walls and inequalities in ceiling heights (common in all houses.)

I called 4 different contractors from Angies List and only Steve called me back..He turned out to be a excellent contractor. He researched paneling to match what was there. He reported back promptly and fit me into his schedule. He works hard and was very detailed. He did an excellent job.

It couldn't have gone any better.
He had it done two days earlier than I planned, less expensive than I planned.
It looks exactly as I needed it to.
VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER! Would totally use again.

Steve Flood provided an estimate for the job: shortening the existing section of kitchen cabinet above refrigerator.
This section could NOT be detached & removed from the wall. When I selected Flood Carpintry to do this job, Steve removed the cabinet doors, to be shortened at his workshop.
The shortening of the cabinet walls had to be done 'in place'. This work was done with skill and care. Sections of veneer
were selected by Steve to cover the original location of the cabinet section bottom on the adjacent cabinet section, and on
the kitchen wall.
I was very pleased with the final product. The cabinet doors functioned perfectly, the new sections matched the original surface well. Bottom line: you can't tell any change had been made -- which is what I wanted!

My wife and I have been wanting to upgrade our kitchen since we moved in almost 3 years ago. We needed to get our refrigerator into the kitchen (in the pantry was not the best option). We also needed to replace the european sized oven we had (only 24 inches wide) in the kitchen. Steve was a pleasure to work with. Punctual and very competent. I believe him when he stated to my wife, "I can make anything you need", and he did! He allowed us to bring the refrigerator and a larger oven into the kitchen and update the countertops. This was all done for a great price AND craftsmanship. He did have another project come up while we were arranging a start date for our project and he was very up front and honest with us. We started our project 2 weeks later. In reality, the counters were the rate limiting factor when it came to our project. We WILL be using him for additional projects and refer him to family and friends.

Isn't it great to have a contractor do such impressive work that when it's all over you think, "Wow. What else can I have him do?" Steve did about a two-week finish carpentry project for us: A bit of cabinetry, and a lot of trim installation. The bottom line is: For a remodel project with almost no square corners, I was happy to pay for his expertise. For example, over 1000 ft. of trim installed, with only one small "oops" piece. Whereas, had I done the job I'd probably have all gray hair, a few missing fingers, and be divorced now. Besides having outstanding carpentry skills, Steve was easy to work with as a contractor. He did a careful review of the project on a Friday morning and gave me his estimate on the following Wednesday. He came to do final measuring as soon as the other contractor was finished, built cabinetry items in his shop, and started his work on-site three days later. He was there promptly each morning and let me know of his comings and goings as needed. He cleaned up after himself each day. He consulted about details that weren't anticipated and had good solutions to odd finishing issues. Add-ons were reasonably priced. He had a very short punch list, and everything was taken care of immediately upon notice. It's a pleasure to live in a home with this caliber of work.

Very well. Steve was able to work with existing cabinetry - had difficulty finding someone who could or would.

It was a great experience. You could probably get it done cheaper, but not better -- and probably no cheaper at this level of quality. He listened carefully to what we wanted and made it work for us. I was really impressed how incredibly organized he was. The installation took very little time, because everything was assembled in advance with such precision that it went right in. His clean up was spotless.

We asked four contractors to estimate the job. Three of them said they couldn't do it. Steve, however, took measurements and a few days later sent us a sketch of the work he proposed. After a few weeks Steve installed the finished cabinets. We were extremely pleased with the work. Steve matched every detail of the other cabinets and the color/ finish of the stain was a perfect match.

I am over-the-moon happy with the beautiful piece of furniture he built. It has legs, like a chest of drawers, instead of a toe kick. I had shown him a picture of a piece of Mission furniture from a book on In the Arts and Crafts Style. The piece he crafted is every bit as beautiful as the professional photo. He delivered the vanity right on time and within budget.

Steve came out to see the space and get dimensions and details quite soon after I contacted him. He was very professional and asked for my preferences on a number of things that I had not thought of myself. He informed me about a period of time that he would be out of town. He finished the unpainted cabinet the week that he said he would, and delivered the cabinet at a time convenient to both of us. The cabinet was very well made and ready to paint (as requested). It fit the space perfectly. The doors and hinges were perfect and hung straight and the interior had adjustable shelves with metal (not plastic) pins. It was sanded and ready to paint. He did a great job and I am extremely happy with the finished product.

Steve Flood came out and drew up plans for both projects: removing the stove and oven and then adding cabinets around the refrigerator. Lower and upper. He did the stove and oven before Thanksgiving because we specifically stated we wanted the new range in time for Thanksgiving turkey dinner. Where the oven was, he built a cabinet with a large drawer to match the rest of the kitchen design. He matched our old cabinets perfectly. Approximately, three weeks later, Mr Flood brought out and installed the new cabinets and the island in less than an 8 hour day. They also matched the rest of the kitchen. One cabinet unit has glass doors so I can display some special glasses and plates. He could not get an exact match to our old counter top, but he came so close that nobody has noticed. I was pleased with everything, except the microwave. One floor cabinet replaced the microwave cart. All the counters & cabinets were the height of the old ones. The microwave cart was 3" lower.

We had recently remodeled our kitchen and bought our cabinets. It took eight weeks to get our cabinets (even though they said 4-6 weeks) and the end cabinet that we had bought was not measured correctly in the drawing. Steve came to the rescue. He came with in 2 days after calling him and was very impressive. He owns and runs the company by himself. Very respectable. We gave him the dimensions of what we wanted. He did a little extra measure to make sure it would be correct. He said it would be 2 weeks and it came in less than 2 weeks. It was matched to our other kitchen cabinets we had just bought, the design and the color. We are very satisfied and pleased with his work.
